One of Metallica’s signature songs is their 1992 hit song “Nothing Else Matters.”

The track has become a staple in the band’s live performances. There have also been many covers and tribute plays, but have you ever heard a pure piano rendition?

It sounds heavenly from the first moment on.

As the video begins, you see a close up of the player’s hands gently crawling over the ivories. As the song progresses and the tempo picks up, the scenery changes. Suddenly, the video takes us from a dark room to a field. There is something glorious about seeing the piano among trees!

Surrounded by nature, the artist becomes one with everything around him and the powerful music is the special glue that brings everything together perfectly.

It’s a take on the famous song like none you’ve seen before: peaceful, joyous, bright, joyous and optimistic. We were surprised when it started to rain by the end of the video. An explanation’s been offered in the video description.

The idea is to feel the rain while playing this spectacular piece of music.

William Joseph, the pianist from the video, stated that sometimes they make it rain indoors and other times he and his friends take the piano on the lake.

William Joseph has already released three studio albums.

Imagine that amount of talent! Joseph’s been musically active since 2004, and he was the first teacher hired by Piano Warehouse in Arizona.

The song is peaceful yet moving, and the composition sounds delightful.

It proves just how amazing Metallica musicians are. Not only did they write great lyrics, but they also composed a piece that stands the test of time. It’s a stunning example of what one innovative band can do for other musicians.

“Nothing Else Matters” has been performed on acoustic guitar, violin, piano and several different instruments.

It makes us very happy and proud to see the inspiration still living on. You know that a song is a true gem when generations of artists manage to re-invent it without messing with the idea of the original.

The original song peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks and reached the top ten on many European charts.

This was a great rendition that got over 30 million YouTube views!

The video was uploaded in 2016, but the quality is as striking as it was the first time we heard it!

It demands that you hit the replay button! It must be amazing to feel the rain while playing piano, and William certainly seems like he’s having the time of his life. We wish him a lot of success with future projects—keep covering these classics William, you do it perfectly!
