For The Petersens, music most definitely runs in the family. These incredibly talented people have come together in a family band, sharing their original music and covers on their popular YouTube channel. At the moment, they’ve even amassed almost 600,000 subscribers with their music videos, and they’re only getting bigger and bigger.

Their bluegrass music has not only been heard online, but the Petersens also know how to entertain the audience in Branson, at the Little Opry Theatre. Whether you can catch them performing live or listen to their performances online, you’re definitely always in for a treat.

They’ve even started touring recently, although you’ll usually find them closer to their home in the Ozark Mountains.

For one of their latest videos, they decided to perform a cover that was “a little different”, as they like to call it.

The song they’ve chosen this time was a hit by Shania Twain, “You’re Still The One”. They didn’t just pick this song because it’s absolutely beautiful, but there’s a symbolic and powerful meaning behind the choice as well, which only makes the performance even better.

“‘You’re Still the One’ is a little different than our normal covers, but we absolutely love the message. After all these years of playing music together despite so many people advising us to choose a different path, it reminds us of the beauty of sticking to something good. Hope y’all enjoy!” they explained in the video caption.

The Petersens are just one of the many family bands that have captured the hearts of the entire internet, and it’s just pretty amazing and heartwarming to see families come together and share their joint musical talent.

The family band consists of six members: mom, four siblings, and there’s also a close family friend who joins the musical group.

Every member also has a very special place in the musical ensemble, as each plays a different instrument. Julianne, who is often called “the baby of the family”, is an absolute expert on the Mandolin, while mom Karen feels completely at home whenever she’s playing the bass.

Combine six unique voices and talents together, and you’ve got yourself an amazingly talented group and just oozes pure magic.

Bluegrass is totally their genre, and they’ve already covered numerous other popular classics, such as “Jolene” from Dolly Parton. This time, they decided to bring their own rendition of “You’re Still The One”.

“Looks like we made it
Look how far we’ve come, my baby
We mighta took the long way
We knew we’d get there someday”

From the very first second, the performance is just nothing short of absolutely mesmerizing. There was attention to detail too: the whole video was filmed on the outside of the Integrity Hills Chapel at the Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri, which really adds to the performance.

Vocalist Ellen always blows away everyone with her absolutely angelic voice, a perfect match for this Shania Twain song.

Surrounded by her mom, family friend Emmett, and her three siblings which play the instruments as well as provide backup vocals, all of them give it their absolutely A-game and perform with tons of passion.

With almost two million views on YouTube, this stunning cover has gone viral around the world.

“Fabulous in every single way—tears in the eyes. Thank you all so much. Don’t stop!” one person commented.

“Love from UK. Fantastic solo Ellen, brilliant harmonies, great instrumental parts as usual. Now my favourite version of this song. 👏” another posted.
