Ten year old Peter Rosalita gave Simon Cowell goosebumps.
Tuesday night’s show of America’s Got Talent played host to this jaw-dropping audition from a Filipino kid born in Abu Dhabi who blew the roof off with his rendition of “All By Myself”, the 1975 Eric Carmen song covered by Celine Dion in 1996.
Let that sink in for a moment.
Judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum did their usual pre-audition interview with the kid dressed in a white suit paired with a blue shirt and tie.
Peter admitted to feeling nervous but all that disappeared the moment he started to sing.
“I was born in Abu Dhabi, UAE, but I am a Filipino citizen,” he said confidently.
A ten year old with $1 million? Peter says he wants a Nintendo Switch and a new laptop for his online school. And he’s barely made a dent.
“What do you do for a living?” joked Sofia Vergara.
You’d think that a kid his age would have picked an easier song to sing, but not Peter. It’s no surprise that Filipinos love karaoke. You’ll see them at parties where kids and drunk adults sing their hearts out for the whole neighborhood to hear.
And while some are comical, there have been those who discovered their talents.
It’s common for kids to sing older songs thanks to their parents. Peter may have been exposed to such music thanks to his upbringing. And you have got to hear him.
This is no karaoke-style performance. Rosalita’s got the voice to back it up.
He’s already got fans in the comment section!
“More than his singing talent, I really loved his personality.. his smile is so addictive.. this kid was def raised right.. you can see how courteous he is.. uggh.. such a rili lovable kid.. hope he goes far and even wins!!;)”
Peter’s smile and exchange with the judges won them over.
He starts at a lower octave, slowly building himself and this audience for the chorus. And when he does hit the chorus, his range begins to show. Rosalita’s control as he plays with the notes is impeccable for someone his age.

Heidi’s wide-eyed, big smile reaction says it all. Simon and Sofia are beyond impressed as Peter goes even higher, holding and sustaining a note we’d usually hear from Celine, Mariah, and Whitney.
Rosalita ends on a literal high, getting the crowd and all four judges on their feet for a standing ovation.
And what did the judges have to say?
“That was an incredible audition. There were parts during that audition that literally gave me goosebumps. You have an amazing voice, an amazing personality, an amazing energy. Everyone is going to fall in love with you after this audition.”

Mandel says he predicts Peter will go far in the competition. We do hope so!
Heidi Klum went on to say that Rosalita’s voice was “so high you would think a glass would explode”.
The song was no small feat from this small kid but his voice was bigger than his nervousness. That was an incredible performance but he goes back to being that sweet kid with the judges sharing their thoughts.
Heidi says America’s going to love him, to which Cowell responds with “I think the world’s going to love him.“
Peter got a “yes” from all four judges with thousands more around the world.
