Along with the holiday season comes—you guessed it—plenty of holiday songs.
Whether its in your car or in the mall, chances are you’re likely being inundated with Christmas carols. We’re all familiar with some of the bigger hits: some of these include “Walking in a Winter Wonderland,” “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” Though many of us are open fans of Christmas music, some of the songs can get a little old when we hear them over and over again.
Fortunately, there are some unique takes on famous carols like the one in this video.
As some may know, Pentatonix is an a capella group from Arlington, Texas who gained much of their popularity through their YouTube videos.
Although the group has many popular songs on the internet, one of their bigger hits is a reimagining of the classic English Christmas (which dates all the way back to 1823). As always, Pentatonix takes the song to the next level by lacing it with exquisite and precise harmonies. All five of the singers are amazingly talented and cover the entire vocal spectrum.
Although it starts off relatively smooth and easy, those who stick around until the end are in for a great surprise.
As the video continues, the harmonies and rhythms build to become larger and larger.
The end of the video has the five members making their voices truly soar together for a full-bodied ending to an already impressive performance. The song is one of many different tracks included on their Christmas album, “That’s Christmas to Me,” which is available on iTunes and Spotify.

The holidays are full of activity and allow us time to get our families together to celebrate.
