Pentatonix keeps delivering masterpieces, getting better at every switch of the screen.

Without missing a beat, Matt mimics the original singer perfectly. The whole song is an example of why Pentatonix has become such a viral sensation. Every member has strong enough vocals to be a solo artist, but the group shines brighter together.

Matt Sallee has all the facial expressions and hand gestures to go along with the legendary Christmas song.

One of the best parts about the video is Matt’s hilarious gestures and expressions that go with the song—it’s clear that he practiced those a lot! It’s easy to see why the video instantly went viral. After all, people fell in love with this Christmas song a long time ago.

“Aight hear me out… I love Avi. I miss Avi. I would have loved to hear Avi sing this song. But Dear god Matt is amazing in this song. And I’m so happy they showcased him with the best song bassists can sing. The facial expressions. The voice. The acting. Put this man’s voice in a Disney movie stat. And please Pentatonix when Christmas is over I’m begging you to let this man sing Friends on the Other Side from the Princess and the Frog. Please???” said one YouTube user.

“Matt is fantastic in this one. He shows his true bass, but also hits higher baritone notes and goes back and forth seamlessly. I also really am impressed with his enunciation as well as his expressiveness.” Said another.
