Pentatonix hasn’t unveiled the whole tracklist for We Need a Little Christmas. The group did, however, give a tiny peek by releasing “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone).” In less than 24 hours, the video has racked up over a million views (and counting) on YouTube alone.

There’s no question that Pentatonix and Christmas go hand in hand.

The award-winning ensemble is the creator of holiday albums like That’s Christmas to Me and Christmas Is Here. In the past, they’ve put their own spin on classics like “Mary, Did You Know?,” “Silent Night,” and “The First Noel.” Really, would it even seem like the best time of year without hearing Pentatonix?

You can expect beautiful voices and beautiful backdrops.

The video was filmed in a serene location with lots of lush greenery. A short time in, the group makes their way to an outdoor chapel, which pairs perfectly with the gospel classic. A viewer helped identify the glorious church, writing:

“If anyone is curious about where this was filmed, the location is Wayfarer’s Chapel … Really captures a sense of grace and majesty!”

They dress the part.

All five members of Pentatonix (Scott, Mitch, Kirstin, Kevin, and Matt) are dressed in white, yet, each with their own unique style. If you’re wondering if their outfit selections make them look like angels when paired with their heavenly voices – the answer is yes!

“Amazing Grace” was written by English poet John Newton in 1772, with “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)” being Chris Tomlin’s hit version of the hymn. He added an extra refrain that hits many straight in the heart.

There are powerful moments.

You might want to grab a sweater for this one… In Pentatonix fashion, their blending of a cappella talents is captivating – with points that cover your body in chills. Or perhaps, you might have the chills the entire time.

One YouTube user wrote:

“Three seconds in and I’ve added the song in every playlist I have… Goosebumps every second!”

Some internet users are being moved to tears.

Music affects everyone differently, but Pentatonix is really good at stirring listeners’ souls. Another person wrote:

“I turned this on as i drove home from work and had to pull over by the third verse because I was crying. Truly beautiful and moving. I’m so proud to follow a band that produces masterpieces like this, much less with just your voices. 💙”
