The jaw-dropping voices of The Kingdom Choir, a British Gospel Choir based in London, serenaded the guests with their version of the classic soul song Stand By Me.
Watching them on social media, you couldn’t help but think how amazing it would have felt to see them singing in person.
But of course, only the guests would have the privilege to see and hear them.

Now, The Kingdom Choir was on their way to the Sydney’s Invictus Games, so they decided to treat the other passengers aboard the British Airways with a performance that they would never forget.
The talented choir surprised everyone in the plane as they sang their version of “Stand By Me” at 35,000ft.
The Kingdom Choir has been in the industry for 20 years and was founded by Karen Gibson.

Gibson is considered a genius in her field. She was described as “Britain’s godmother in gospel,” by the British media because of her talents.
British Airways uploaded the video of The Kingdom Choir during their flight, and the video instantly went viral with more than 11M views.
We’re pretty sure that you will also press that play button more than once.
Because of their performance at the royal wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex last 2018, their choir garnered more fans.
Their rendition of “Stand by Me,” by Ben E. King, skyrocketed to US Hot Gospel Songs charts. Of course, Sony Music wasn’t about to let this pass. They offered them a recording deal, and the rest was history.
Members of The Kingdom Choir discreetly took their seats on the plane.
While everyone was busy using their phone or watching, one man stood up. He was wearing a shirt with their choir’s name on it.
Then, one by one, the other members started standing up, singing their verses like angels.
The camera showed the faces of the passengers. Some were confused, some were in awe, and some just smiled, but all of them enjoyed the performance.
You can even see some of the passengers recording the choir as they serenaded the passengers, the same way they did at the royal wedding.
Emily Coen, global public relations manager for BA, said to Independent: “The passengers were delighted and surprised as they were tired after such a long flight.”
Who wouldn’t feel delighted to hear such a beautiful song performed by talented singers?
We’re pretty sure that they even felt extra special knowing that they were serenaded by the people who sang for the royal wedding.
