This was pre-COVID when people in masses can freely get together in public without masks and alcohol. They were seen with a sea of smartphones while gathering in the street to listen to a street performance although it was not just any busker because luckily for them, it was Mike Rosenberg or also known as Passenger, busking the Ireland lane.

Passenger was known to busk the cities where he performs.

The star initially made a series of tweets about busking the street during his visit, but some were still surprised when he arrived to perform. The others even came from different parts of the city just to witness his performance.

Rosenberg is a 34-year-old singer-songwriter and musician from England. Passenger was originally a five-person band, but he retained the name as a solo performer when it broke up in 2009. When he started his music career, he became a busker in England and Australia for a few years before forming the band in 2003.

He graced them with his chart-topper “Let Her Go”.

Rosenberg admitted in an interview that he only has one hit, and it was this song in the last eight years. However, it is a hit that remains to be iconic to this day. The music video itself has garnered 2.8 billion views on YouTube to date. This song will always be included in all his performances.

Clearly, people just cannot have enough of it especially now with the pandemic. The song and its lyrics are still relatable. The song depicts regret and letting go. With many countries in quarantine, the song also reminds people not to take things for granted.

You can hear the loud clamor coming from the crowd, but it was all shushed when Passenger sang the first words from his song.

In the video published online in 2014, the excitement from the mob was undeniable when they learned it was Rosenberg performing but there was a standstill when he started to sing. You can see people watching him intently or recording the show with their mobile.

However, it was a glorious moment when they joined him to sing the chorus of Let Her Go. It was incredible how they had sung in unison with him while feeling the emotions of the song.

He even told the audience that it was difficult to feel the song or remember what it is about after singing it 48 billion times but during this performance, with them singing with him, he felt every single word. It was an amazing crowd as he said at the finale.

People of all shapes and sizes, age, and race came together just to listen to Passenger.

Fans who were interviewed about his performance were shown in the video. They were thrilled about the singer’s performance and singing praises about his show. It was amazing how you can see children and the elderly joining the crowd to see him. Rosenberg still enjoys busking up to this day. He told in an interview that he plays for people who have not heard him yet. There was also no pressure as he can play the songs he wants to hear and people can come and go as they like.
