Since its original publication in 1862, the French historical novel Les Misérables has been a subject of several adaptations.

There were books, films, musicals, plays and games. The original author is Victor Hugo, and the book is considered to be one of the greatest novels of the 19th century. We’ve probably all seen the 2012 Les Misérables musical and thought it couldn’t be any more engaging.

First, we need to mention people who recorded it all.

Besides all the undeniable talent, the video production is first-rate as well, and you can hear what the performers singing. It’s all clear and easily understood, without background interference. Who would expect it to go so smoothly, considering that the acoustics in the mall were so intense? The stars of the video are dancing right under the speakers and video screens, which makes this mob even more special.

We’ve got the feeling that it hardly gets any better than this.

It’s the kind of wholesome content we love to see. At noon, Valjean comes to the center of the floor and starts singing. People notice it, and they all turn their heads. Everyone is intrigued. Some probably even thought that the man in the checkered shirt singing in the middle of the floor was just weird. That’s until Marius showed up, and people realized it was a flash mob!

Their voices are so powerful they nearly bring the roof down!

You’ll get chills every time Valjean sings “One Day More,” What we love about this version is how unexpected it is. There are a lot of people all over the floor who seem to be in other peoples’ way, and some of them even seem confused. Before long, you figure out they’re all in it on it and it’s all being done on purpose!

Next up, Eponine is singing with her Starbucks cup.

The atmosphere is so relaxed, and yet it’s obvious they’ve put a lot of effort into their show.

In all, it was a little spark of art for all those who thought they were simply going shopping that day.
