Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden made her way to the Cambridge Theatre box office and went behind the ticket booth.

She was waiting for 11-year-old Olivia Lynes who was arriving for a performance of Matilda The Musical.

The little girl was with her mom and nan when she walked up and asked for two tickets.

When the lady assigned at the booth went to the back, Amanda took the tickets and walked up to give them to Olivia, whose jaw dropped upon recognizing the judge.

Amanda then revealed to Olivia that her mom and nan had secretly nominated her to appear on Britain’s Got Talent to audition.

The poor little lady was shaking!

And even at the audition itself, Olivia admitted feeling “a bit nervous” backstage, doing some shaking exercise before she sang the popular “Defying Gravity” from the musical Wicked.

But you seriously, seriously need to see and hear just how amazing Olivia is.

Little Olivia Lynes has dreamt of performing on the West End stage for as long as she can remember.

So what did she have to say after Amanda holden surprised her?

Olivia said, “She appeared from nowhere. I was so surprised! I felt so emotional. It was amazing. She was just like Miss Honey [the kind teacher who rescues young Matilda in the musical]. She was so beautiful.”

“I can’t remember everything she said because I was so excited. I ran up to her and hugged her really tightly. When she asked if I would audition on BGT I said of course I would!”

Impressive how an 11-year-old did not shy away from such a big opportunity.

She had a rocky start, understandable seeing as she was nervous, but when Olivia got all warmed up, the audience soon realized why Amanda invited her to audition.

That’s a big voice for such a small girl!

There was silence. And then everyone was on their feet, including the judges.

Amanda said, “You were absolutely amazing, you nailed that.”

Fellow judge Alesha Dixon then said, “The whole time you were up there I just kept thinking, ‘Look how effortlessly you sing, it just flows and pours out of you’. That was an incredible performance.”

New judge Bruno Tonioli stood up and told her, “You sent me flying, everything you sang touched me. You’re a singing miracle.”

The hard to impress Simon Cowell had this to say,

“That was like a scene from a movie. You just blew the roof off. Perfect, perfect, perfect golden buzzer. You so deserve this, you’re brilliant.”

“I wasn’t expecting to do that,” Amanda added, “I always go on how I feel in my heart. And everybody was on their feet and you truly deserve that moment Olivia. I feel so proud of you Olivia.”
