You are never too old to party.
Just ask these two seniors. Where hip kids normally steal the show, this Ehrentraut couple are not ones to shy away from dancing the night away. And it’s not the whole, jump up and down with your hand in the air type of dance modern kids do.
They are Nellia and Dietmar Ehrentraut, and they should be around 64 and 70 years old in this video.
Married in 1970, this snazzy couple love dances from the 40s and 50s, such as swing, the jitterbug and the Lindy. You’ll find those styles lend well to their charm too!
The Ehrentrauts don’t just dance for fun either. They’ve competed and won in numerous competitions as the site themusicman explains,
“The Ehrentrauts have been passionate dancers for over 40 years, regularly competing in dance shows throughout the European circuit. Throughout the years the Austrian couple have achieved wonders across the dancing world, these include winning the top spot with first place in their native Austria’s dance championships and second place in the German championships for their amazing dedication and style, whilst performing energetic and acrobatic feats on the dance floor.”
Where most elderly couples retire, use walking canes, and need constant assistance, these two are just super young at heart!
If you’re suspecting that this German couple found the fountain of youth, you’re probably right. There has to be some sort of elixir that allows an elderly person to move like this!
Nellia and Dietmar are at another family’s anniversary ball. The Geigers must be good friends of theirs, and what kind of friends would say no to a little entertainment?
In matching deep blue outfits, the talented couple step and jive to the music, the other guests clapping along and enjoying the jaw dropping moves these two older dancers are putting on display.

Dancing is a love they both share. It is a major factor that’s kept them together for years. Age won’t stop them and that’s pretty clear by now. so long as Nellia and Dietmar can move, they will dance.

The guests are cheering the elderly couple on, cameras flashing as the Ehrentrauts smile from ear to ear. The hosts must have been so happy to have these two at their party. Who needs to pay for a band or other dancers?
