You wouldn’t think that cops would have a sense of humor when they’re on duty. Those guys are sworn to uphold the law and that includes putting their own lives on the line.
Even a routine disturbance will have cops showing up to ensure peace and order.
These cops were patrolling the Aventura Mall in Miami when they happened upon a group of dancers.
Now a mall can be pretty loud in itself but this was Sean’s Dance Factory. It was a beautiful day out and they went to the mall to dance.

What was to be an awesome dance number turned out to be even better thanks to these two police officers. A crowd had gathered around the dancers and the two cops walk over looking all serious.
The dancers looked to be disturbing the public peace.
Pete Pancho Majadero Jr is credited for capturing this video. He’s in the crowd watching the cops head on over to the dancers. The officers gesture to the dancers to break it up. And they do.
But apparently, there was a reason as to why Aventura Police Department Officers Chris Gatti and Manny Gonzalez wanted them to break it up.
They wanted to break it down!
Sean’s Dance Factory backs up and parts, creating space in the middle and as soon as both cops find their footing, they explode into some really fun and funky moves getting the mall crowd cheering instantly.
A viewer commented,
“When you think you’re about to get arrested, but just end up getting served.”
Now these cops are pretty fit. They’ve got the footwork and the rhythm, matching the dancers move for move considering they’re so much more muscular. Nothing stiff about these guys!
It’s not something you’ll see anytime in any mall. In fact, you’d be lucky to even catch dancers as good as these guys. Or maybe it depends where you’re from but still.
Chris Cole loved it saying,
“That’s a good thing I like to see that’s how the world should be like people getting along and having fun no drama.”
Because there are killjoys here and there. Some people just want to have fun but others will find an issue with a bit of impromptu entertainment.
Cops would definitely find it hilarious if civilians would call on them to break up a group of dancers. These two were having a great day. Breaking up a bunch of dancers just wouldn’t make sense.
Even though they were in it from the beginning.
Anabel Llopis, senior director of sales and marketing for Aventura Mall shared,
“We enjoy being a destination where our Miami community and visitors can come together, Surprising our guests with a performance by local artists and first responders made for a really special moment.”
What a great way to bring the community together and show that cops are just like us. The best part was that it was free. No tickets needed!
