Cash is considered a country music icon, but his music spanned other genres such as rock and roll, the blues, gospel, and more.

When performing, Cash typically dressed in all-black, earning him the nickname “The Man in Black”. He also traditionally began his concerts by introducing himself (“Hello, I’m Johnny Cash”), and then performing “Folsom Prison Blues”.

Songs like “I Walk the Line”, “Ring of Fire”, “Get Rhythm”, and “Man in Black” are all by Johnny Cash. Odds are, you have probably heard one of them.

Now that you have a good overview of how remarkable Johnny Cash was, the videos below may blow your mind.

Johnny Cash passed on September 12, 2003, but his voice may have been reincarnated in the form of Vince Mira.

Mira, born on March 18, 1992, is a singer/songwriter from Federal Way, Washington.

Vince had been singing ever since he was young. He first started out singing Spanish music, and though he tried some of Johnny’s songs, he never had the deep baritone voice to pull them off properly.

However, when Vince was 13 and puberty struck, Vince awoke with a gift: a deep baritone voice, just what he needed to cover Johnny’s classic music.

Vince’s remarkable talent caught viral attention, leading to an invite to appear on Ellen DeGeneres’ show and recognition from Johnny Cash’s son himself, John Carter Cash.

Ellen’s audience, eager to see if Vince really sounded like Johnny, were in for a treat. When he pulled on his guitar and began performing “Ring of Fire”, the audience was blown away.

Likewise, Johnny’s son John Carter Cash was also so impressed by Mira that he helped produce Vince’s first record.
