The song, 9 to 5, from the film of the same name, garnered Dolly Parton a chance to get nominated by the prestigious Academy Awards.

She also got four Grammy Award nominations where she won Best Country Song and Best Country Vocal Performance in the Female category.

Aside from the catchy song and the funny lines, the film 9 to 5 had a deeper meaning.

The film and the song 9 to 5 aimed for change.

Back then, women were still treated differently in the workplace where men dominated professional careers, and this movie campaigned for change.
