Oh, the things dads will do for their daughters. They certainly get wrapped around their little fingers, that’s for sure. It’s no wonder that “daddy’s little girl” is a common term of endearment.

Mike Hanley is a comedian that loves his baby girl so much, he took part in a huge surprise at her Bat Mitzvah. It all began on the dance floor in front of a big group of people.

13-year-old Jessica had been enjoying the big milestone with her family and friends. A Bat Mitzvah ceremony is a special event for a Jewish girl, which celebrates her coming of age in the religious community. It’s a time for family and friends to come together and celebrate life.

Guests watched as Mike took his daughter’s hand to dance. Their song choice was “My Girl” by The Temptations. As most of us know, it’s the perfect tune that could bring a tear to your eye in a situation like this.

The two slow danced by themselves but little did guests know – they had a surprise up their sleeves.

Suddenly, the music changed to the Whitney Houston hit song, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” Jessica jumped back and began playing along with the lyrics, while Mike stood hilariously shaking his head.

It was just the beginning of one of the most awesome father and daughter dances ever.

Every short while, the song would change to something different. And with it, Mike and Jessica had brand new dance moves to go along. It was something they had clearly been practicing for weeks!

They did a little swing to “Mambo No. 5,” flew like Superman for the hip hop track “Crank That,” and even brought in The Jackson 5. Of course, there was some “Grease Lightning” too.

Mike, whose career is to make other people laugh, didn’t disappoint. Watching him try and keep up with the current music and moves is downright funny.

On his website, he’s described as follows:

“Mike Hanley’s unique style of high energy, full tilt comedy has left audiences all over erupting in laughter. If you are married you will laugh at Mike’s hysterical stories. If you are single you will want to stay that way for the rest of your life. From relationships to kids to the day to day grind, Mike has a story that will be sure to have you on the edge of your seat.”

The fact that Mike took the time out of his busy schedule to learn the routine with his daughter, goes to show how much she’s his number one.

However, there was so much more to come. Mike and Jessica shook their hips, danced like zombies for “Thriller,” and even threw in some “Macarena.” They really spanned the decades and the genres to come up with this crowd-pleasing performance.

They did some “Kung Fu Fighting,” vogued to Madonna, and “Partied in the U.S.A.” with Miley Cyrus. It’s seriously tiring just watching the two in action.

Eventually, their routine comes full circle and they end on “My Girl,” finishing their slow dance. Pheww! What a way to end such an epic surprise for their guests! It was so well-thought-out.

The pair entertained their guests with what some consider to be the “best” father-daughter dance out there.

Since the YouTube video was posted, it’s been viewed over 22 million times. It has more than 28,000 thumbs-ups as well. How could you not love this dance routine?!

Not only did Mike and Jessica create quite the memory performing their dance, but it must have taken weeks of practice to get it down. All that time together for a dad and daughter sure is priceless.
