Our troops deserve to have a little fun.

After all, they’re out risking their lives time and time again. The thought of not being able to crack a smile at something every once in a while is draining to even think about.

But it’s never fun being away from family and friends, especially for a lengthy period of time. Though many families do their best to keep their loved ones on deployment up to date with all of the happenings at home, including what’s trending.

Nowadays, troops are able to log on to their devices and keep up with things themselves as well. A little entertainment goes a long way when you’re in the type of situations that they often find themselves in.

Fortunately, there always seems to be some sort of viral trend going around. The best thing about those is that anybody can participate. People from all over the world can make videos of themselves doing the dance.

PSY’s “Gangnam Style” became a huge hit once it hit the airwaves.

The music is catchy and there is a silly dance that goes along with it.

What else do you need to create a viral sensation?

The song and dance made its way through the entertainment industry with celebs doing the dance. Even politicians got involved. Flash mobs popped up in places like Pasadena, California and Sydney, Australia.

Eventually, it made its way overseas to the United States Navy and Marine Corps Medical Unit in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

The soldiers decided to have a little fun in their downtime by putting together a fun and hilarious video of various troops dancing to the song. We can only imagine the amount of work put in to get all of the soldiers to participate in the video.

Not to mention, putting together the choreography! They really went all out.

Just based on the first few seconds of the video alone, it’s obviously going to be a fun video. Just after the caption detailing that the troops are going to have a bit of fun “kickin’ it Gangnam style,” on their downtime, a woman can be seen waving a fan on another soldier in the reflection of his glasses.

From there, silly antics ensue with soldiers dancing and goofing around. One male soldier walks arm-in-arm with two women soldiers as they’re being sprayed with silly string.

Another dances on top of what could possibly be a tanker.

Of course, they have the best props.

Others act as backup dancers to a soldier performing the lyrics for the camera. One of them wears a lei around his neck while sporting sunglasses and a Nets hat.

Five guys perform the song while pumping some iron in the gym.

Though their weights appear heavy, their faces show that it isn’t anything but a cakewalk.
