A 64-person dance group hailing from France called Murmuration had their audience murmuring during their amazing act.

Murmuration and its temporary leader Jibril Maillot made their way to America’s Got Talent and took everyone’s breath away.

Before the act, Jibril explained that the group’s creator, leader and choreographer Sadeck Berrabah got sick just before the audition.

He was unable to travel, so he asked his best friend Jibril to take his place.

Clad in black turtlenecks and pants, the group made their way on stage, overwhelming the four judges with their number.

“We are 64 dancers,” said Jibril Maillot, who would be dancing in front of the troupe, which brought the total to 65.

“We traveled all the way from France. Going onstage at America’s Got Talent, we dream a lot because the most famous artists are from the United States. So, we tried to make something really beautiful and unique. Winning America’s Got Talent will change the life of everyone, allowing us to perform in Las Vegas.”

Vive la France!

They assembled like an army, with some taking to the floor, and some on chairs.

But then they put blindfolds on and a hush fell on the audience.

What happens next is a mesmerizing display of hand movements coordinated perfectly and executed in sync.

The artistic dance ork incorporates precise arm moves known as Tutting, a hip-hop dance style inspired by Egyptian hieroglyphs.

Murmuration formed boxes, Xs, horizontal, and vertical lines and increasingly complex patterns with their hands as everything flowed in tight synchronicity.

Imagine how these guys practice!

What does murmuration mean?

It is a natural phenomenon when starlings, often thousands of them, flock and fly together in synchronized patterns.

A murmuration always moves fast and is constantly in motion while shifting shapes.

A dazzling display that scientists say is a visual way to attract other starlings.

To the beat, to the melody, and to the cheers of the crowd, Murmuration delivers such an impeccable display of unique talent.

And what did the judges have to say?

“Wow! You guys were so amazingly in sync even though you couldn’t see anything, and there are so many of you,” Heidi Klum said. “But it was so elegant with so much grace. I thought it was fantastic.”

“I think that kind of synchronization is amazing,” Sofia Vergara commented. “It was spectacular. At the beginning, it reminded me of my Golden Buzzer last year, The Mayyas. But you guys have your own style and I thought it was magnificent.”

Simon Cowell lost his voice, so that just left Howie Mandel to comment.

“I was mesmerized. I find what you do hypnotic,” he said. “I find it very original. I find it almost more magnificent when you get a large group of people, and the movements are smaller but perfect. It blew me away. Even sitting here, I want to do something.”

Howie then stood up and began making strange movements with his own arms, until he reached the Golden Buzzer.

Gold! The French group bathes in gold as cheers erupt and tears flowed.
