The Rock that Swing Festival is an annual dance competition and camp held in Munich, Germany.

This five-day festival showcases dancers from around the globe emphasizing both swing and rock and roll style dances from the 1920s through the 1950s. In addition to dancing their hearts out, attendees can view live performances, participate in workshops, and witness some of the greatest swing dancers of the past century.

From beginners to advanced dancers, this festival has something for everyone.

The 2020 Boogie Woogie competition featured six couples, each bringing their own unique flair to the traditional dance style.

The first couple hits the floor, and they’re ready to go! That is one fast-paced routine. The duo is jumping faster than that a rabbit after it spots a carrot. They’re burning some serious calories out there!

The second couple is called to the stage. Displaying their talents with several flips and splits, this duo is one to remember.

What’s more impressive than just the dancing is the way that each couple genuinely cheers for their competition.

Each duo enjoys watching the other contestants perform and bust new moves. We wonder if some of the couples have met before at other competitions and performances.

The third couple comes on stage dressed from head to toe in ’50s inspired outfits.

Even more impressive than their choice of clothing is their age. This duo may very well be the youngest in the Boogie Woogie competition, but that’s not holding them back! They perform a flawless routine.

The fourth duo appears to be having the time of their lives.

They really do seem to love the stage! With their wide smiles and bouncy performance, we can’t help but love them back. They are having too much fun!

Now we move on to couple five, and oh boy do they have some elaborate dance moves in store.

They roll across the floor in perfect duo fashion. Seriously, though. How does someone do that and live to tell the tale? That is one tough move!

The final couple takes the stage. They aren’t half bad either. With their series of twirls and steps, this couple is also rocking it.

The solo performances are over!

Each couple is ordered to the stage to finish out the rest of the song. Dancing alongside each other, they are all so talented!

11 million YouTube views later and these duos have shown the world just how impressive swing dancing still is.

In addition to their perfect rhythm and steps, each couple gets a full cardio session in, as well. Who needs Pilates when you can sign up for swing dancing. Not to mention that dancing is probably more fun than the gym, too.

Which couple do you think deserves the golden trophy?

I think it’s safe to say that each duo brought their A-game. The judges are in for one tough decision with this group of contestants. Did you enjoy the fast-paced steps of the first couple or the series of flips brought on by the second duo?
