Parenthood is a lot of things: difficult, challenging, stressful. While it’s the tough stuff that’s most commonly highlighted, let’s not forget that parenting is actually delightful, too. While priorities revolve around the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of children and meeting their needs accordingly, it also helps when the home is filled with lots and lots of love and laughter.
Just like Bella’s mom, someone who definitely knows how to have fun.
See, young Bella was just trying to dance along to “Juju On That Beat“, a 2016 hip-hop track by Zay Hilfigerrr and Zayion McCall. Apparently, the song and dance were part of the craze among kids her age so it’s only natural for Bella to give the dance track a shot and record herself.
The video starts with Bella playing the song on her laptop and moving her body in time with the infectious beat of the song. The steps seemed pretty easy – just the usual swinging of the arms and the expected hip drops.
This keeps up until the chorus – right about the time her fun-loving mom decided she wanted in on the dance video, too!
The minute the chorus played, Bella’s mom slid into the frame behind her daughter and began demonstrating the moves smoothly. Impressive how she knows the track and the steps so well, too!
Oblivious to her mom’s dancing, Bella continued doing the moves, not realizing her mother was already pretty much showing her up (unintentionally, of course!).
Dancing closer to her daughter as the lyrics instruct listeners to “slide and drop”, Bella’s mom showed off a pretty slick one-footed slide across the floor.
Bella, doing the exact same move, still failed to realize that she and her mom were dancing perfectly in sync.
You’ll love the arm and leg raising bit of the choreography because of how cute the mother-daughter duo carry out the moves! Be sure to watch out for “the running man”, too!
Despite a few differences in their dancing, you’ll still be delighted about the dancing and how comical it is that Bella still doesn’t know what her mother is up to.
A few minutes later, the young girl decided she had had enough. Pulling off one last move, Bella finally stopped the video.
Except her mom wasn’t quite done yet.
She began to sing the lyrics of the song out loud just to let her daughter know she was right there, doing the exact same thing. Surprised, Bella whirled around. “Mom!” she yelled immediately.
Clearly satisfied at the reaction she got and the success of it all, her mom finally walked off, laughing.
It’s antics like this that initially “embarrass” the younger ones but later make them realize just how lucky they are to have parents who aren’t afraid to look silly just for the sake of having fun with them. Bella sure is lucky to have a mom who helps bring so much enjoyment to their home!
