Though it goes without saying, there have been so many incredible performances on The Voice over the years.
For anyone who doesn’t know, The Voice has been on the air since 2011 and has since become something of a worldwide phenomenon.
Though it started as a Dutch show, it has since expanded into a global franchise with unique versions in South America, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and nearly anywhere else you could imagine.
For most of us, the versions we think of most readily are the American and UK versions.
Like all auditions on the show, it begins with all of the judges’ backs turned to the performer.
After a moment, his voice rings out loud and true. The song he’s performing is “Iron Sky,” originally sung by Paoli Nutini.
From the very first notes, it’s clear that this singer has a unique voice and approach to the music.
While the technical ability is definitely there, he also adds in his own soul and raspiness to the performance to take it beyond the source material.
Needless to say, it doesn’t take long for him to turn one of the judges.
After one person has buzzed in, it’s just a few more moments before the singer turns another chair!
On the heels of that one, the other two judges buzz in as well for a four chair performance!
Still, there’s so much of the song left that all four of the judges get to enjoy the rest of the song without pressure—and many of them even start dancing to his incredible singing.
When it’s finally over, the singer brings his voice up into a high shout, letting the crowd hear all the soulfulness and the pain in the lyrics.
When it’s all over, he gets a huge round of applause from the crowd and the judges!
Finally, the singer gets a chance to introduce himself.
His name is Mo Adeniran, also known as Mo Jamil. Though his audition on the show was truly incredible in its own right, Jamil actually had an incredible journey throughout the entire season as well.
After this first round, the judges all fought to secure his talents for their team… but Jamil finally ended up going with judge Jennifer Hudson.
After that, he proceeded through the rest of the show with knockout after knockout when it came to his performances.
At the end of it all, Jamil actually won the whole season!

Needless to say, shows like The Voice are so amazing because they shine a light on talent that’s already out there.
