No matter what decade, from 1987 to 2019, we’ve probably heard different versions of the hit song “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”

“Sweet Child O’ Mine” is a rock song by the popular American band Guns N’ Roses.

Aside from the very catchy guitar riff, compelling vocals, and the emotions behind the lyrics, there’s a story behind Sweet Child O’ Mine.

The band’s lead singer, Axl Rose, wrote emotional lyrics about his then-girlfriend, Erin Everly.

She was also the inspiration for another hit song of the band, “Patience.”

In 1999, Sheryl Crow covered the song. In the year 2000, the rock band Apocalyptica made one too.

In 2008, the rock band Taken by Trees also made a cover for the song, and in 2019, Miley Cyrus performed the hit song at a festival in the U.K.

Many aspiring singers and bands have tried making their own cover of this song, but one band in middle school wowed the audience with their jaw-dropping talent as they shared their own version of the popular song.

Jasper Hughes, the drummer of the band, uploaded their band’s performance for their school project last January.

According to the video description, it was for their school “holiday” concert.

The band director was the one who came up with the idea of them doing their rendition of the famous rock song “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N Roses.

Hughes also said that in the past, when they do a cover of a song, they would usually dress up according to the genre and the time when the song was released.

However, for this specific song, their musical director told them to be creative and to wear black leather and inspire their inner punk look.

They considered the said holiday concert to be their biggest performance of the year. All students, along with their families are there and everyone wants to it memorable.

The way the little girl sang the song was really good. She gave life to the dynamics and expressive lyrics.

She was able to move from soft to all-out explosive!

Everyone also noticed she made a mistake, but instead of getting nervous, she giggled a little and went on with her performance.
