We get it though – he has his thing. Joke aside, Buble’s career is quite developed and people know him for that silky smooth voice and his Sinatraesque Christmas vibes.
As it turns out, however, Michael Buble relies on someone else’s voice to get him through his day.
On The Graham Norton Show, Buble revealed that he needs the help of a famous friend in order to go to sleep.
If Buble is the silk-tongued singer, Matthew McConaughey is the smooth-voiced talker!
The two were on a show together a few years ago and in their conversation, something hilarious was revealed that is pretty relatable.
The panel on this particular day included Michael Buble, Jennifer Hudson, Matthew McConaughey, and Judie Dench!
With such a stacked cast, it was sure to be a hilarious show.
As we would soon find out, they would have a connection that went beyond even their famous friendships!
In particular, the bedtime routine of Michael Buble.
As they were doing introductions, Graham mentions that McConaughey plays a special part in Buble’s life.
In obvious shock, Matthew sits up and is clearly intrigued with what has just been said!
As everyone sits waiting, Michael sits up, a bit uncomfortable, and admits to Matthew that he and his wife “sleep with him” every night!
The audience laughs and McConaughey has a knowing look on his face!
As a regular watcher, you would have ZERO idea what’s going on!
The two laugh and McConaughey nods his head up and down with an audible, “yessss, yessss”.
Michael explains exactly how he and his wife have been “sleeping” with their famous friend!
McConaughey is featured on an app called Calm!
Calm is an app that’s designed to help people clear their minds and meditate or fall asleep if they have trouble doing so.
Buble has insomnia and often uses the app to listen to stories as he fall asleep!
With McConaughey being featured as a storyteller on the app, we can see the pieces fitting together nicely – Buble and his wife listen to bedtime stories that are narrated by McConaughey!
With a hilarious impression, Buble recites the opening lines of the story, clearly familiar with it!
They finish out the clip with a little bonus.
Graham was clearly prepared and they played a real clip of McConaughey reading part of the story
! If that clip was even partially true to life, it is easy to see why Buble would love to fall asleep to his rich voice – he’s basically a professional narrator!
