Unless you’ve been living under a rock, there’s a good chance you’re familiar with Michael Bublé and his spectacular voice.

Bublé has done so much fantastic work in the music world.

Name a jazz song and he has likely covered it.

He also once covered “Help Me Make It Through The Night” by Hopeton Lewis.

He describes it as a “beautiful, sad, lonely song.”

Yep, pretty much hit the nail on the head!

“My concept had always been so strong and in my head, it was always a duet,” Bublé explained on his Youtube channel before going into his sweet rendition with Greatest Showman soundtrack star Loren Allred.

“I’d never heard it as a duet before but I’ve always seen it as this incredibly sad but beautiful story of two needy people that just did not have the strength to be alone anymore,” he said.

“I wasn’t sure who would sing it with me,” he said explaining that he had been watching The Greatest Showman.

Then he heard Loren’s song in the movie and he loved the sound of it so much, he frantically went to Google to find out who she was.

The respect that Bublé has for Allred is evident in their performance.

He looks so happy to be there in that moment and then when Allred’s time comes to sing, he can’t help but look at her and smile.

It’s obvious he appreciates her talents so much and we love to see it!

“I had a serious voice crush, and you know what’s funny? You never know who these people are when they come into the studio. Many times, you haven’t met them, and she walked in and was more than I could have ever hoped for,” Bublé added.

As the two perform together, we also see clips of them backstage in the studio during the recording process.

While Allred is recording her part, Bublé breaks in to reassure her that she has the most beautiful voice ever.

He says he doesn’t want to embarrass her but she blushes and it is such an adorable moment.

“I had such joy with her as a person that I wanted the characters to fall in love at the end. So instead of ending off in this melancholy way, I changed the words to instead of just saying, ‘Help me make it through the night’ or ‘I don’t want to be alone’ … I just sang, simply, ‘You don’t have to be alone. I hope you make it through the night,'” he said.

Their version of the song has the sweetest ending ever.

At the song’s end, the two sing together in harmony: “I’ll help you make it through the night.”

With that little switch, they changed the context of the story just a tad without going overboard and it works.

After all, who doesn’t love a happy ending?
