In many cases, talent extends across a whole family, especially when it comes to dancing. Take Michael and Angelina Novikova for example, two siblings who appeared on “America’s Got Talent.” It would seem they weren’t the only people in their family to appear on the show.
The last time a family member was on the show, though, one of the judges left a bad taste in their mom Alla’s mouth.
It seems ‘America’s Got Talent’ was a tradition in the family
As the pair walked their way onto the stage, everyone could see how cute they were. The judges were surprised, though, when they mentioned someone from their family had been on the show back in 2016. As it turned out, their mother and brother, Daniel, had made it all the way to the live shows before failing to make the cut.
Leaving a bad taste in Alla’s mouth
Back then. judge Howie Mandel had given the duo of Alla and Daniel a red buzzer, which signaled the end of their run in the competition. But it was what Howie said in reaction to his action that really left an impression on Alla, and it wasn’t good.
“When we first saw you, you were a surprise… but this is the third time I’m seeing the same moves. Third strike you’re out as far as I’m concerned,” Howie had told the then 9-year-old Daniel at the time.
All is forgiven
Of course, Alla took offense to this and used the opportunity with her two younger kid’s performance to let Howie know just how she felt. Howie then proceeded to apologize. With that out of the way, the two young dancers were ready to show their skills on the dance stage.
Michael and Angelina let their talent shine through
As they began to strut their stuff to “Sax” by Fleur East, the two talented dancers danced their way across the stage. They showed that they had quite the talent, especially at such a young age. It would seem that the ability to dance was ingrained in their genes.
Showing a plethora of ballroom dance moves, Michael and Angelina complimented their dance routine with plenty of hip-swaying, spins, and even a backflip followed by the splits. The pair were on fire as they flawlessly performed.
With an air of confidence that belied their age, Michael and Angelina captured the hearts of the judges and the crowd. When all was said and done, they received a standing ovation from the judges.
Howie was impressed with Michael and Angelina’s performance
Howie, in particular, seemed impressed with their dancing skills as he urged the crowd to rise too. The pair showed just how much talent ran through their veins and hopefully, brought a little bit of redemption to their mother.
