When it comes to society, police officers see all aspects—good, bad and ugly.
Without a doubt, serving and protecting is not a regular job. It’s both mentally and physically challenging. Even so, sometimes police officers have interactions with the public that aren’t so serious…at least, that’s the case in this performance.
In this video, the Miami police perform an unexpected act that ends up being very entertaining.
In the video, a group of dancers seems to be disrupting public order at the mall. We see a bunch of teenagers dancing as two officers approach them.
The music stops when the cops appear and everyone gets quiet.
A moment later, it seems like the police officers are serious about sending them away.
The crowd at the mall seems interested in the whole scene and no one is saying a word.
Then the music goes on again—and you won’t believe what happens next.
Two officers bust a couple of impressive moves and surprise everyone!
Just when we thought that these kids might be in trouble, the cops started dancing and the audience was loving was the unexpected outcome! You can hear everyone screaming and cheering enthusiastically. There’s just something contagious about seeing people in uniforms having fun.
The work they do is tough on its own, so it’s nice to see something like this for a change.
They throw themselves on the floor effortlessly, spin around, jump and the other dancers follow the routine.
The funny dance routine was filmed at Aventura Mall in South Florida, and the amazing dance-off made the shopping a lot more fun for everyone.
These Aventura police officers sure know how to party! It’s a joy to see cops interacting with people in such a funny way. The fact that it all happened in December around Christmas time makes it twice as adorable.
You can see holiday decorations all around, and everything is sparkling as the dance goes on.
The dance was planned and choreographed by choreographer Sean Green of Sean’s Dance Factory. It was supposed to be a big surprise for mall-goers and it sure was. What a way to shake up your community a bit!
Since the video was posted, it has earned more than five million views on YouTube.
Some users commented that “this should get going in every state, every mall, with every police force in the country!” Well, it’s certainly nice to see the police being groovy with everyone. But let’s be honest, it wouldn’t be as interesting if it became a daily occurrence.
It’s certainly not the first time that police officers surprised people like this.
Remember all those times when policemen surprised children by appearing at their birthday parties? Or better yet, do you remember when high school kids organized a flash mob to honor their favorite campus police officer? Check that out right here. We’ve also seen the police do a lip sync battle, and we’ve even seen the cops having fun with people at the parade. These dancing cops are a reminder that law enforcement representatives are an impactful part of a democratic society.
People react positively when these courageous and good people as police deal with everyone on equal terms.
The video brings peace and happiness, the way these cops arrested everyone’s attention is priceless.
