Mia Black is a young Irish singer with a powerful, yet angelic voice. She joined up with a group of dancers from the Born 2 Perform Stage School, and together they created a stunning rendition of the song “Rise Up.”

13-year-old Mia comes from a musical family.
The singer and songwriter grew up surrounded by music in Ireland, and she has many family members in the business. According to Mia’s website, her grandfather is showband musician, Gerry Black, who’s played with The Finnavons, The Hilton, and Gerry Black & The Seasons.
Naturally, Mia’s been following along in her family’s footsteps.

Mia’s success began after she started busking in Galway, Ireland several years ago.
The songstress has shared some of her busking performances on YouTube, including when she sang “My Heart Will Go On” and “Shallow” for groups of strangers. One thing they all have in common is they’re amazing.
Eventually, Mia’s busking lead her to the world of internet stardom. She currently has over 73K subscribers to her YouTube channel and 50K Instagram followers. Not too bad for a 13-year-old musician on the rise!

In the video, Mia stands in front of a microphone underneath the spotlight. With her long blonde hair and blue eyes – she really is like an angel! But that comparison goes to new heights when she begins to sing Andra Day’s inspirational song “Rise Up.”
While Mia sings, the young dancers interpret the lyrics with movements that are power-packed with emotion.
The students are all part of the Born 2 Perform Stage School, which offers classes in drama, singing, and dancing. Their talents combine incredibly well with Mia’s cover of “Rise Up.” (Andra Day was nominated for a Grammy award in the category of “Best R&B Performance” for the song.)
At one point, a number of the youngsters lay on the stage like they’re broken.
But after a couple of moments, the other dancers lend a hand and they rise from the floor. It’s a routine that perfectly mirrors the song’s lyrics.
