What’s better than an impeccable impromptu performance?

Well, an impromptu performance by four strangers in the middle of a busy thoroughfare.

One of the best things about street performances is that you get to see people shine from the most unexpected of places. Suddenly, you find yourself treated to a full concert for free!

But this extemporaneous public performance is different.

Jared Nandra and Theophilus Martins brought joy to the people when they decided to have a “boogie-woogie” battle.

They and their pianos sat head-to-head against each other as they threw one crazy piano solo to the other side.

It was an exhibition of raw talent and experience as both managed to keep each other’s time and pace.

Onlookers were amazed at the two musicians.

It all started with a handful of people recording their performance. But slowly, people began approaching the musicians just to catch a glimpse of their amazing performance.

This isn’t the first time Jared Nandra and Theophilus Martins played together.

They have a lot of collaborations in their YouTube channel including one where a duo of professional swing dancers performed with them.

This time, they also had a surprise for their audience.

Like a sound calling all boogie-woogie artists, a random man walked from behind Martins.

He must’ve sensed the guy because he inched away from the higher notes to give way.

The next player, Reece Potter, quickly caught up with the tempo.

He embellished the duet with flowery high notes that further gave character and panache.

More people became invested in the now-growing performance.

Even with three strangers playing, their boogie-woogie performance is still impressively well-paced, timed, and cohesive.

But then again, two’s a party and three’s a crowd. Add in a fourth one, then you have an orchestra.

After all, it wouldn’t be fair for Nandra that he’s facing off with two amazing musicians.

Moments after Potter joined, an armed reached out for the piano keys on Nandra’s side.

Seeing the man, Nandra scooted a bit on his bench to give the man some space to join in.

James Wallis is also a musician and content creator, and he’s the man who will finally make the performance into a quartet.

The people around them only had two faces, a dropped jaw and a wide smile.

People had their phones out, others were nodding to the tune, but all of them were enjoying the ride just the same.

People all over the internet also loved this amazing musical riot.

“Amazing how they don’t know each other yet perform so well together without practice, this is the mark of a true musician.” One commenter said.

“Amazing. Once the 4th guy joins in both he and #3 are playing on the same 14 keys at the same time and without looking they switch back and forth playing the “first” lead without clashing or playing over each other. Magic,” another fan said.
