The name Andrea Bocelli is synonymous with the height of singing prowess. Renowned for singing alongside so many other greats including but certainly not limited to Céline Dion, the Italian singer has lived a full life in the limelight as one of the worlds most popular vocalists. What makes that even more impressive, is that he has been completely blind since the age of twelve following a tragic football accident in conjunction with the congenital glaucoma for which he was diagnosed at age five. But as it turns out, the apple does not fall far from the tree…

…His son, Matteo is following right in his father’s footsteps.

Matteo is a fantastic singer in his own right, and is forging his own name as a musician.

And he’s excellent, even when he doesn’t have an audience. In one video, you can see him rehearsing for a performance for the Horatio Alger Association. And spoiler alert- he is incredible. He brings the power and warmth that he got from his father, even when doing a simple soundcheck.

The song he’s singing is a classic too!

He’s singing one of the most popular songs by The King of Pop himself, Elvis Presley. The song is “Love Me Tender”, a soft and sweet love ballad that requires a singer with a generous sound to give it the heart to truly pull it off. This is one of the songs that Elvis first used to weaken the knees of girls across America in the 50’s. Now, you can be sure that Matteo, a tall dark and handsome Italian man is using it to similar ends!

And he can croon just like Elvis!

With a face loaded with sincerity, even during a sound-check, Matteo breathes beautiful life into this eternally tender song.

And you know he means business when the mic comes out of the stand!

Everyone knows that when the microphone comes out of its stand, it’s go time! Well, this may not be a Guns n’ Roses concert, and Matteo may not be about to go crowd-surfing, but there’s always something about someone pulling a mic out of the stand that tells you play time is over.

And just like Elvis, Matteo brings plenty of charm.

Matteo, much like The King himself, seems to know just how to present a cool charm, a dangerous thing when you’ve got pipes like that!

Viewers of the video are absolutely entranced in Matteo’s rendition.

“I Just love Matteo.. his father must be so proud. He inherited the Bocelli vocal chords and the legacy will continue for years to come. His English is better than his fathers’ which in today’s world usually happens with the next generation. His future is so bright, and with David Foster behind him look out world !! 💫⭐️⚡️✨⭐️⚡️”- labradoreadore

David Foster, whom this very pleased viewer has keenly spotted offers some tremendous piano to the performance.

Underlying Matteo’s silky-smooth and soothing voice is the musical mastery of Canadian musician David Foster. He adds the soft tinkling of the ivories that tie the whole performance up in a beautiful little package of talent.
