This parody cover, “Totally Fixed Where We Are,” comes all the way from Faversham, a picturesque little town in Kent, England.

They run six deep: dad and husband Dr. Ben Marsh, wife and mother Danielle Marsh, Alfie, Thomas, Ella, and Tess. The kids’ ages are 13, 12, 10, and eight, respectively.
They’ve been in a few school productions, but have limited theatrical experience and training. The parents don’t have a background in music, either.
Some might call it natural talent!
They also happen to be master lyricists! They’ve decided to put a hilarious pandemic twist on “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” reworking the lyrics and subject matter altogether.
They’re far from Bonnie Tyler’s originals, more reminiscent of Michael Scott’s wacky covers from The Office. Shoutout “Goodbye Toby” and “Beers in Heaven.”

Dad starts off with a deep crown, depicting life in the third lockdown.
Maybe the third will be the last!
Staying in the house all day isn’t exactly healthy – mentally, nor physically.
The Marsh family understands the trials of being cooped up all day and night.
Their lyrics are as honest as they are clever.
If you’re familiar with “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” you’d recognize the instrumental section a few minutes in.
It’s the perfect time to take a vocal break.
Two of the tykes perform an interpretive interlude dance, while the others hilariously start checking their phones.
This is modern pandemic life unfolding before our eyes… with some Bonnie Tyler sprinkled in, of course!
By the time of this release on February 2nd, the Marsh’s of Kent, England were looking at quarantines lasting until March 8th!
At that moment, the vaccine rollout was still in its infancy.
A lot has changed since then, but entertainment like the Marsh family’s helped us get through these turbulent times.
“Total Eclipse of the Heart” was written by Jim Steinman. The most famous recording – by far – is Bonnie Tyler’s hit.
But this version belongs to the Marsh family!
So why did they do it?
Quarantining is tough. Soon enough, boredom sets in. The family wanted to convey the trials of quarantining while providing an entertaining release for others.
But they had no idea it would blow up the way it did.
Plus, it’s just fun and a wonderful family bonding experience!
The boys have beautiful, rich voices with wide ranges. And the girls are phenomenal, especially for their age.
What a talented, musical family! The Marsh’s are brimming with talent and excellence. It runs in the family!
This isn’t even their first viral rodeo.
Their cover of the Les Misérables song “One Day More” was also a viral sensation.
The pandemic isn’t over.
But the vaccine rollout does provide a new, brighter chapter in the COVID-19 book.
After the darkness of 2020, the first half of 2021 has been somewhat of a relief. But we’re still not completely back to normal, yet.
The Marsh family’s “Totally Fixed Where We Are” acts as the perfect cure for the pandemic blues.
The Marsh’s even ended up contributing their media appearance fees to Save the Children, reaching their £1,000 target! They’re superstars of the pandemic. And musically, they’re following in the footsteps of “Weird Al” Yankovic.
