It’s hard to imagine being away from home for a long period of time. But that’s the reality for men and women in the military, who miss their families very much so.
Luckily, tons of service members are discovering ways to keep their spirits high while they’re gone. One of the ways is through music – which for many, is the ultimate soul booster.
In a viral video, dozens of Marines sing a beautiful song of faith.
Everyone has a different idea of what they’d consider uplifting music. For these Marines, it’s obvious they’re passionate about the worship tune, “Lord, I Lift Your Name on High.” Not only do they sing the song together, but they use hand gestures too.
The group is being led by a man with an acoustic guitar, and another who’s helping with the gestures.
Every spot on the bleachers is taken by a Marine in uniform. It appears they’re getting a well-deserved break from their intense training. Instead of building their bodies, they’re filling their hearts and souls!
You can tell that the Marines have a strong connection.
Men and women who join the military typically form lifelong friendships. In this case, the Marines are also bonding over music and their Christian faith.
It’s heartwarming to listen to all their voices combined. Especially performing a song as powerful as “Lord I Lift Your Name on High, which is sung in churches all over.

Another wrote the following on Praise & Worship Songs’ Facebook page:

These aren’t the only service members who’ve brought joy to the internet with their singing…
A group of Marines once serenaded a flight attendant with the song “Sweet Caroline” on their trip home. Her name, of course, was Caroline! It’s probably safe to assume they had to scrape her melted heart up from the floor.
A couple of men in the military went viral after showing off a different kind of talent.
Dancing is an activity that’s good for the mind, body, and soul. So it’s really not surprising that some of our service members like to boogie on their breaks. Just like in 2018, when two soldiers showed off their awesome dance moves in a video that racked up over 10 million views.
Let these Marines be your ray of sunshine.
During a time when people need a little uplifting, this video might be just what the doctor ordered. It’s soothing to hear their voices, watch their moves, and feel their passion and faith.

We owe all of the men and women in the military our sincerest gratitude. On top of putting their lives at risk for our country – they also sacrifice time away from their families in order to do so. Thank goodness they find ways to keep their spirits high while they’re away!
