Every season of “American Idol,” hopeful singers audition for a chance to make it big. In the end, there can only be one. Getting up on stage and auditioning in front of the judges take a lot of confidence and bravery, and not everyone is cut out for it.
They face a lot of criticism, and the judge’s comments aren’t always kind.
Nobody wants to sing their heart out in front of the world only to be told they aren’t any good. Unfortunately, that’s just part of the show.
One teenager singer recently auditioned and blew the judges away with her amazing talents. Mara Justine may call the Jersey Shore home, but the 16-year-old more than your average Jersey girl.
She has an amazing voice, and she isn’t afraid to show it off.
If you haven’t heard the song, “Love On The Brain” by Rihanna, the lyrics are:
“And you got me, let go
What you want from me? (What you want from me?)
And I tried to buy your pretty heart, but the price too high
Baby you got me like oh
You love when I fall apart (fall apart)
So, you can put me together
And throw me against the wall
Baby you got me like ah, woo, ah
Don’t you stop loving me (loving me)
Don’t quit loving me (loving me)
Just start loving me (loving me)
Oh, and baby I’m fist fighting with fire
Just to get close to you
Can we burn something, babe?
And I run for miles just to get a taste
Must be love on the brain
That’s got me feeling this way (feeling this way)
It beats me black and blue, but it f—s me so good
And I can’t get enough
Must be love on the brain yeah
And it keeps cursing my name (cursing my name)
No matter what I do, I’m no good without you
And I can’t get enough
Must be love on the brain”
“Baby, keep loving me
Just love me, yeah
Just love me
All you need to do is love me, yeah
Got me like ah-ah-ah-ow
I’m tired of being played like a violin
What do I gotta do to get in your mother—n’ heart?
Baby like ah, woo, ah
Don’t you stop loving me (loving me)
Don’t quit loving me (loving me)
Just start loving me (loving me)
Oh, and babe I’m fist fighting with fire
Just to get close to you
Can we burn something, babe?
And I run for miles just to get a taste
Must be love on the brain
That’s got me feeling this way (feeling this way)
It beats me black and blue but it f—s me so good
And I can’t get enough
Must be love on the brain, yeah
And it keeps cursing my name (cursing my name)
No matter what I do
I’m no good without you
And I can’t get enough
Must be love on the brain”
Of course, Mara sang it perfectly, putting her own unique spin on it and entertaining the judges along the way.
When she was told she was going on to the next round, she could hardly believe it. She tweeted a message to her supporters, saying:
“So blessed to have each and every single one of you in my life. I am so thankful and grateful for all of the love and support! Thank you for believing in me, that’s all a girl like me has ever wanted! I love you, goodnight!”
Mara still has a lot of work to do to win.
She is up against some serious competitors this season, and the judges are getting harder and harder to impress. She seems to be confident in her abilities and hopeful that she will win the title of the next American Idol.
