Man sings ‘Unchained Melody’ in Walmart and stops shoppers in their tracks
He definitely left his mark on the song and that's no easy feat considering it's been covered so many times. He has the voice of an angel.

There are some songs that just seem to be constantly reinvented. The song “Unchained Melody” seems to be one of those.

The definitive version of that song was performed by The Righteous Brothers in 1965, but one man in an Orlando Walmart recently made his mark on the song.

Rodric King is a singer with a dedicated YouTube following.

Based in Florida, most of his videos are of himself singing covers.

He is also in the singing group Blonde Ambition.

In his own free time, Rodric King works on his YouTube page and posts plenty of videos that earn him a large following.

Before posting this video, he asked his followers to help a video of him singing Unchained Melody get to 20 thousand views.

When that happened, he promised he would post a video of himself singing the same song in public.

When his previous video hit 20,000 views, he had to go to Walmart to keep his word.

Pushing a shopping cart that carried a giant speaker, King began to set up his Walmart stage. He also had his own microphone and would need that to ensure that everyone in Walmart could hear him.

King stopped in the middle of the Walmart store and began to sing.

Pretty soon, shoppers began to take notice.

Rodric King has a beautiful voice. He is the definition of a crooner, and it’s no surprise that the people running errands in Walmart would be taken aback by this performance.

For the most part, King just stands there and sings, swaying a little bit every now and then. He doesn’t do any flashy dance moves or try to grab people’s attention in any way other than simply singing.

But from pretty early on in his performance, people are hooked.

Pretty much everyone who passes him stops in their tracks.

Although plenty of these shoppers probably have to run important errands, Rodric King’s singing gives them a respite. Many of the other Walmart shoppers stop their shopping to watch him sing.

Additionally, a bunch of people pull out their phones to record and cherish the moment.

When King is done, everyone erupts in applause and cheers for his talents.

The viewers at home seem to love it as much as the Walmart shoppers did.

The YouTube video that King posted is filled with commenters commending his singing talents, and even comparing him to The Righteous Brothers.

While The Righteous Brothers probably never envisioned their song being performed in a Walmart and posted on YouTube, this video shows the power of music.

Unchained Melody is an enduring song that pretty much everyone knows, but King was able to use his talents to make it sound fresh and new.
