A man in a blue shirt asks if he knows how to play the “Interstellar Main Theme.”

Boy, does he know it.

Camden Bonsu-Stewart is a pianist from the UK who regularly wows pedestrians when he plays on public pianos.

Camden has tickled the ivories of public pianos at the Norbury Railway Station, St. Pancras International Railway Station, Hammersmith Tube, and the Battersea Power Station in London.

All of his performances are beautiful.

Each time he’s played, he has left the dozens of people watching quite in awe of how powerful and beautiful music truly is.

Camden has been uploading videos of his performances on his YouTube channel, which now has over 250,000 subscribers.

He averages around 10k to 86k views, depending on the popularity of the song he plays on the piano.

Two videos are an exception.

That’s because they’ve had over 2 million views. A few dozen people might stop when they catch Camden playing on these public pianos because they’re usually busy.

Camden usually plays in train and tube stations where people are always rushing to their next destination, so it’s understandable they’re unable to stop and watch his performances.

But it’s a different story online.

Watching Camden’s performance online is easier because you can watch it anywhere. Plus you don’t need to be in London to see it.

Camden usually takes requests, and as long as he knows the music, he’ll play it.

In this video, which has already received more than 2.3 million views (and counting), a man in a blue shirt requested a song.

The song he requested? The “main theme” song of the movie “Interstellar,” by famous composer and record producer Hans Zimmer.

No biggie.

Camden gave a thumbs-up and started playing.

Turns out Camden didn’t just know the music, he even played around with it. He must have played this song so much, especially when it first came out.

It’s a very enchanting composition, which Camden captured with its bold notes.

In fact, Hans Zimmer received a nomination for Original Score at the Academy Awards and Hollywood Music in Media Awards that year.

“Hans Zimmer contributes one of his most richly imagined and inventive scores, which ranges from a gentle electronic keyboard melody to brassy, Strauss-ian crescendos,” Scott Foundas wrote for Variety.

Not everyone loved the music though and some felt it was too overpowering.

“Interstellar” director Christopher Nolan disagreed.

“Many of the filmmakers I’ve admired over the years have used sound in bold and adventurous ways. I don’t agree with the idea that you can only achieve clarity through dialogue. Clarity of story, clarity of emotions — I try to achieve that in a very layered way using all the different things at my disposal — picture and sound,” Christoper explained to The Hollywood Reporter.

He may not be the original composer and performer of this bold piece of music but Camden still captured it so well.

Plus he knows the music so much that he was able to give it more depth when he transitioned to “Middle of the Night” by Elley Duhé.

It was a perfect transition.

The man who requested this song got a powerful cover performance plus an added layer that made Camden so memorable.

That’s why this video was viewed more than 2 million times.
