There are some people that stand out from the rest.
Not because they are better or smarter or stronger or sexier or what have you.
But because they are not afraid to be themselves… however quirky, weird, or displeasing to others that may be.
These are the kind of people that dance in life like nobody’s watching.
Fred Rawicz is one of those people.
Even though everyone around Rawicz was mostly seated when the song “Uptown Funk” came over the loudspeakers at a music festival, Rawicz was on his feet dancing to the beat.
Rawicz is an actor, singer, beatboxer, and voice-over actor from the UK.
But it’s his dance moves in this video of him at T in the Park that made him a viral star.
T in the Park was a music festival that ran in Scotland but recently it had to be halted after they were forced to move from its grounds due to the presence of an unregistered but protected osprey’s nest.
Rawicz’s went viral for his dance at the T in the Park festival.
The video of his dance routine was viewed more than 14.6 million times.
The dance starts out with a two-step and some hand waving and a quick running man. ]
But once the beat drops so does Rawicz who does a split and then hops right back up again.
The crowd sees this and goes absolutely wild around him.
After that, it was Rawicz’s bright smile and positive vibes that stole that show.
He was having the time of his life whether the crowd was watching and cheering or not.
But they definitely were because Rawicz was getting his wiggle on.
His energy was infectious.
People around him started getting up and dancing too.
Then there were people who were recording him on their own phones.
Once he busted out that Michael Jackson moves the crowd began to howl.
Rawicz went hard throughout the whole song.
Just when you thought he was going to slow down.
He sped right back up again.
People totally lost it over his finale when he tapped himself on the head and fell to the floor.
“That was insane,” his friends say when they came running over to him at the end.
This guy has crazy amounts of energy. And who can blame him? “Uptown Funk” is a bop.
According to Wikipedia, the song is by British record producer Mark Ronson, American singer/songwriter Bruno Mars, Philip Lawrence, and Jeff Bhasker and is featured on Ronson’s fourth studio album “Uptown Special.”
The song features Mars on vocals, was released as a single in November 2014 and topped the charts in 19 countries.
Besides having some seriously sick dance moves, people seemed to be more impressed by Rawicz’s fearlessness when it came to being himself and having a good time.
“Always good to see someone who can have a blast without worrying what others will think,” said one YouTube commenter.
“He danced like nobody was watching, whilst everyone was watching. This is what life is about,” said another.
