Man changes the lyrics to 'Dancing Queen' and it's hilarious
I laughed throughout the entire thing! 😂

After spending so much time stuck at home recently due to Covid-19, it’s safe to say that most of us are starting to get a little loopy.

However, David Scott, founder and producer of electronic music act The Kiffness, has been getting loopier than most recently.

We don’t just mean he has been looping back electronic beats over and over either. In fact, he is quite literally losing his mind. That’s what his recent hilarious parody of the song “Dancing Queen” proves.

In The Kiffness version, Scott doesn’t play the dancing queen.

Instead, he sings the whole track as the “Quaranqueen”. In other words, he is the queen of the quarantine.

“I am the Quaranqueen. Lost my mind on day 17,” the video description reads.

In the video, Scott represents himself as a woman named Colleen.

He wrapped a towel around his hair and wore an open bathrobe on his body as if he had just gotten out of the shower. Suspiciously, he only showed his upper body. However, after he started singing, we quickly learned the reason why by listening to the lyrics:

“I’m not wearing pants, I’m deprived,

I’ve lost track of time and my life,

has no routine, my name’s Colleen,

I am the Quaranqueen.”

Scott, or Colleen, wasn’t wearing any pants! We don’t blame him though.

He was in full-on quarantine mode.

After all, when you have no place to go and no place to be, what’s the point of even getting dressed in the morning? Why not just wear pajamas and sleep all day, or if you are feeling really adventurous, nothing at all?

“Friday night and my wine stock’s low,

I’ve literally got no place to go.”

Friday nights in the past used to mean going out to do fun social activities with friends.

Now, according to Scott, it’s all about box wine and relaxing.

He soon told us about some of the other fun lockdown activities he had been participating in as well.

“I try to find a good series, to forget everything,

I find the Tiger King,” the lyrics read.

That’s right, he watched the ridiculous Tiger King series on Netflix just like millions of other people around the world.

He made references in his “Dancing Queen” parody to many of our favorite characters, including Carol Baskin, the zookeeper who may or may not have fed her husband to a bunch of tigers. Depending on who you ask, she is either a saint or a horrible murderer. We all know Joe Exotic’s opinion on the woman.

However, our favorite part of Scott’s parody video came when he decided to get up and start dancing around at the end.

It turns out, he was telling the truth. He really wasn’t wearing any pants. Although, he did have on some awesome tiger-pattern boxer briefs — a fantastic choice if you ask us.

The video pretty much sums up quarantine life perfectly.

We are all stuck at home, bored out of our minds, watching trash reality TV on Netflix, guzzling box wine by the carton, and slowly going mad.

Let’s all hope this ends sometime soon and we can get back to working and living as normal again.

Although, if it doesn’t, at least we’ll have more hilarious The Kiffness parody songs to look forward to. For example, his amazing cover of “Sweet Caroline” called “Sweet Corona”. It’s one of many he’s made that you’ll definitely have to check out.
