The final Golden Buzzer of season 13 of America’s Got Talent is finally here!
Two weeks ago, AGT aired the fifth episode of the season and surprised everyone watching when there was no Golden Buzzer included.
Tyra Banks, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Mel B had all already used their buzzers, but judge Heidi Klum had not.
Everyone was desperately waiting to see who Heidi would pick for her buzzer! She even recently went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to hint at who she picked.
According to Heidi, she thinks that her Golden Buzzer is going to win the entire competition on America’s Got Talent.
15-year-old Makayla Phillips auditioned for the show by performing a Demi Lovato hit and showed off her vocal strength.
When talking to the judges before she sang, Makayla told them that she brought a pretty big group with her. Backstage, her parents and brother were waiting anxiously to watch her audition.
Mel B wished her luck before she launched into an emotional and powerful rendition of Demi Lovato’s “Warrior.”
By the end of her performance, the audience and judges were on their feet. Some people in the audience were actually in tears!
Out of all the judges, Heidi was on her feet and clapping for the longest. The judge said:
“So fun and good and everything! And you’re all so cute on top of it! I love you! I think you are absolutely incredible. I mean I love the whole package. I love your smile. You project to everyone and your voice is incredible!”
Then Heidi asked Makayla if she knew what she was going to do for her before she jumped up and slammed her Golden Buzzer!
After that, gold confetti rained down from the ceiling, Heidi rushed onto the stage to hug Makayla and celebrate with her.
America’s Got Talent shared the audition on their Facebook account and the commenters were very divided on what they thought about this act.

Golden Buzzer Worthy!!! She has a powerful voice & it was awesome!C’mon Chinese Guys her you got to be kidding…
One user felt that Makayla was talented, however, they thought some other acts were more talented:
Definitely very talented but I think there were 2 or 3 other acts that could have or should have gotten the golden buzzer
While another Facebook user took aim at Howie’s choice:
Not happy that she is 4 of 5 singers that retrieved a golden buzzer on this show. Open your eyes judges, you let so many more talented individuals pass you by….however, she sounds SO much better than Howie’s pick.
And that’s a wrap! However, while the four judges and host buzzers are gone, that doesn’t mean people can’t get automatically sent to the live shows.
During the Judges Cuts episodes, there are guest judges and the guest judges can jump in to give an act a Golden Buzzer. So, there are still big moments ahead!
