Everyone has their own idea of what the best birthday present would be.
Some would squeal over new jewelry, while others would be happy to just be surrounded by family and friends.
One concert-goer had a very unique request on her big day – and it involved country star, Luke Bryan!
Much to her delight, he actually helped make her wish come true on stage in front of a sea of fans.
It’s typical in America to look forward to your 21st birthday. Besides it being a special day of celebrations, let’s face it, it means you can legally drink! No more being excluded from bar nights or having to order virgin cocktails – you can officially join in on the fun.
The young woman in the video below decided to attend Luke Bryan’s concert on her 21st birthday. The event took place at Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center.
Luke’s in the middle of talking to everyone in the arena when a sign catches his eye.
But instead of just reading the message to himself, he stops and reads it aloud over the microphone. It’s the birthday girl’s sign and on it is her special wish!
He reads:
“Let me drink a beer on stage with you – it’s my 21st birthday.”
Luke decides to grant the woman her wish and invites her onto the stage. However, before he starts handing out beers – he has something he needs to check first…
Naturally, Luke asks to see her ID! He comically says:
“Alright, I need to see it. I need to see your ID. You’ll have my a$$ going to jail tonight, you know that.”
The birthday girl gets ahold of her license and hands it over to the country artist.
Luke is able to confirm the date on the ID, although, he jokingly tells her, “I don’t know, that kinda looks fake to me, but I’m going to trust ya.”
According to the CDC, the most common “used and abused drug” in the U.S. among youths is alcohol.
Now that we got that covered…time to bust out the beers!
After signing some items the birthday girl brought with her on stage, Luke works to track down a couple of cold ones. Once they have them in their hands the artist begins serenading her with a short birthday song.
Many women’s hearts would have been in a puddle if they were her!
Could this night get any better? Oh yes, it can.
As the pair are about to cheers their beers, Luke asks her, “You want a kiss?” While lots of ladies would have been jumping up and down, the woman says “no.” So instead, Luke gives her a hug.
While this might seem mind-boggling to some that she would say “no,” a viewer who attended the concert left the following comment on YouTube:
“i was at this concert and he asked her if she wanted a kiss and she said NO because she had a boyfriend! if i had a husband i would have said HELL YES!!!!! luke is so incredibly sexy and sweet. his wife is a very lucky lady!”
Finally, the 21-year-old’s birthday wish comes true. She drinks a beer with Luke Bryan on stage (well, at least a huge sip).
