Loren Allred has made quite the name for herself. The 32-year-old American singer, songwriter and actress found her name displayed everywhere thanks to her singing for the film The Greatest Showman.
In fact, she’s such an incredible singer that Michael Buble called her for a duet. And then Allred found herself on stage with the David Foster.
Loren also joined Andrea Bocelli for his 2021 tour.
Loren found herself on stage with David Foster on PBS for “An Intimate Evening with David Foster”. This is a man well known and respected in the industry. He knows what he’s doing.
Allred once again gets to show the world why her presence is “Never Enough.”
David Foster gives the proper introduction as Allred, radiant in a long white dress, prepares to serenade her audience. Hers is a deceptive voice. You think it’s too soft until… Bam!
And just how did she end up singing for the film?
Loren was a member of the recording ensemble for a film musical being developed and after working on early demos, she found herself cast as the singing voice of Rebecca Ferguson’s character, Jenny Lind, on a project called The Greatest Showman.
The film and its soundtrack were hits, and Allred began to hear her voice on the airwaves. In that same month, “Never Enough” reached number 88 on the Hot 100.
I mean just listen to her!
The original studio version is impressive enough. But it is a studio where the only people listening are the producers and maybe a few band members. To sing it even better on stage?
Insane. Absolutely incredible.
A viewer named Barry Wong even broke down her performance with this comment.
“I love what she does with her vocals at 2:12, 2:34, 2:43, 2:59, and the control she has at 3:24. She starts slow, soft, simple and the building of emotion is so well crafted!! I love what she does with the entire song. So well planned!!! Her dynamics and expression at all volumes. Wow! What control!”

Loren then takes it to another level, hitting a high note and holding it for a long time, dropping Foster’s jaw along with everyone else’s.
This song is hers and hers alone. Sure other artists could probably sing their version, but it will not have the same impact, the same effect as when Allred performs it.
And when she gets the applause and cheers, she smiles sweetly looking to her side at an amazed David Foster who is a man that’s seen so many talents on stage with him. He is very impressed.
