Rianna loves the limelight.
In fact, over 1 million people have watched her steal it from her fellow dancers since her mom uploaded a video from one of her very first recitals.
If the other videos are anything to go by, she picked up some discipline in the following years, but as a very tiny dancer, she couldn’t quite keep still.
The class of 6 dancers from the California Dance Academy, performed 3 different pieces at their Spring recital. Or at least they tried.
Rianna had her own ideas.
While she’s a little out of sync with her classmates from the get-go, one little fumble sets off a chain reaction that never quite stops.
It’s hard to tell if she’s responding to the laughter and extra attention or if she’s just really got creative differences with her dance instructors when it comes to choreography.
But it’s safe to say that she’s gone completely rogue by about 1 minute into the first routine.
The other dancers see her but are pretty intent on trying to follow instructions.
And by the time the first set is over and the teachers come out on the floor, that floor belongs to little Rhianna. In fact, they have to shoo her off to the side.
The second piece is also choreographed – at least, theoretically.
And things look promising as the 6 girls line up yet again.
But it doesn’t take long for Rianna to remember that it’s a lot more fun to dance to your own tune.
So she goes off again, breaking formation and strutting her own moves.
The little rebel is getting lots of laughs at this point, so she hams it up a bit more.
We’re pretty sure sticking out your tongue is not part of ballet.
We’re truly impressed that the other little girls are keeping it together at this point. It could so easily all fall apart into chaos.
But it appears everyone is content to let the show go on while Rianna does her own thing.
As their teacher leads them off the floor, she makes a break for it yet again.
Apparently the dance she had choreographed for herself is not quite over. But at least everyone has a sense of humor about it.
The final piece does not involve choreography but rather allows the girls to move around the dance floor however they would like so long as they follow the audio instructions to go slow, moderate, or fast.
Rianna immediately breaks off from the group, although to be fair, they do all follow the rules.
Now the dances are done and it’s time for another troupe to take the floor.
Rianna does not seem pleased with that turn of events. She’s not going to take a bow because she’s just not leaving.
We have a runner!
But you can only let the kids run the show for so long and she gets shooed offstage with the rest of the dancers.
While she doesn’t seem to take it personally, she also doesn’t take a seat right away either. She still seems to have some moves up her sleeves.
With one more bolt onto the floor, she gets a more stern warning and goes to sit down.
Finally, she goes, but she gets a hug from her teacher after that as well.
She’ll have to learn some discipline, but she’s certainly conquered her stage fright!
