We all know that kids have a long-standing love affair with chocolate! Let’s face it, even us grown-ups find it extremely hard to resist the temptation that chocolate presents! Sugar cravings are notoriously hard to stop but chocolate presents an even greater challenge.
Now, imagine for a moment you’re a little girl again and you’ve just discovered chocolate cake for the first time! If the first word that comes to your mind is ‘irresistible’ you’re on the right track.
This 3-year-old definitely has a sweet tooth!
When you’re a kid it’s so easy to indulge your chocolate cravings! Caring about calories and your waistline is nothing but a distant future, as a kid, you can surrender to the wonderful taste of cake without worrying about consequences!
Now, there’s always a risk your mommy or daddy will catch you red-handed, especially if you haven’t left anything for them! This 3-year-old loves cake but when caught in the act, she wouldn’t admit to eating it!
Cake? I don’t know what you’re talking about!
“Tell me what you need to do?” a woman’s voice is heard asking the little girl, as she stares innocently into the camera, her hands behind her back. “Do you need to wash your hands? Did you eat cake?”
The little miscreant then utters a ‘No’ shrugs her shoulders in the most adorable gesture and firmly shakes her head, oblivious to the fact her face is smeared with cake! By this point, she must be thinking that if she keeps denying everything, she will get away with her little crime!
“You didn’t have any cake? What have you been eating?”
Unsurprisingly, we hear her answer ‘Nothing’ but then she grins and looks at the camera mischievously! Soon enough, she realizes there’s no point in pretending like nothing happened and says she had some cake after all!
Then there’s a twist: our little offender starts denying everything again
Surprise, surprise, even though she’s just 3 years old, she already knows how to change the topic of the conversation that she doesn’t like, so she asks her mom ‘Are you funny?’ It doesn’t work, though, but the little one still isn’t willing to come clean!
“You didn’t eat cake? Why do you need to wash your hands?” the woman asks the girl.
“Cause my hands are sticky!”
When asked why are her hands sticky, she mutters ‘They come from the floor and (they) get sticky!’
When her hands finally revealed the truth, the tiny cake thief was forced to confess everything, followed by lots of giggles
‘Sticky!’ the little girl says, showing her chocolate-covered hands and grinning at the camera!
When asked why did she lie she didn’t eat cake, she climbs the sink step stool and cooly proclaims that she will wash her hands. She’s definitively resourceful and cheeky but so incredibly cute we find ourselves unable to hold it against her!
It’s time to wash her face and start planning the next escapade involving chocolate! If she’s careful, she may even get away with it next time, providing there’s no chocolate on her cute little face.
