Remember your school talent show?
Think back to your grade school days for a moment. Did your school have a talent show that you either attended or participated in?
Most people can remember the excitement and anticipation leading up to that very special and entertaining day.
Varying degrees of talent. Always memorable.
Some performances were just ok while others were so bad they were good. Most of the time the kids do a great job and smiling parents look on with pride or possibly embarrassment.
But then comes along a kid who just drops the mic on the competition. That kid is Kaitlyn Phan Wallace.
One performer blew the audience away.
When 10-year-old Kaitlyn stepped on the stage, the audience wasn’t really prepared for what they were about to hear.
As she walked toward the piano she gave no indication that she was nervous or excited. She just walked right up and took a seat at the piano and what followed was simply magical.
A performance fit for a Queen.
It turns out that Kaitlyn is a very talented musician. As she began playing a compilation of Queen songs, the audience remained completely silent.
For someone her age to perform with such grace and confidence is remarkable. She may have been channeling some courage from the rock god himself.
She is a champion, my friends.
Kaitlyn gave a performance that would impress Freddie Mercury himself. She not only played the piano but she sang along to some of Queen’s most famous hits.
The super-talented tween also gave a goosebumps-inducing rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody.
I’m not sure about you, but I don’t really remember my school talent shows being quite so spectacular. Kaitlyn’s performance was one to remember.
One talented young lady.
Kaitlyn plays multiple instruments and has her own YouTube channel called KW Adventures. Her channel features videos of her singing and playing alongside her dad.
According to her channel, she is also part of the school choir. It’s obvious that music is a huge part of her life and we can’t wait to see where her talent takes her.

Kaitlyn’s talent show performance has nearly 100,000 views. Fans commented on her emotional performance:
“Notice she did this wonderful performance without sheet music, and in tune with a gentle vibrato. Props to her and her vocal teacher. Keep it up,” one person wrote.
Another person wrote, “Freddie would be blown away!!! Great tribute to one of the greatest musicians of our time.”
Kaitlyn Phan Wallace is a rising star.
The school students were understandably blown away by Kaitlyn’s performance. She has definitely taken the school talent show to a new level.
Her future is bright and we can’t wait to see Kaitlyn continue to grow as a musician and share her musical gift one day on an even bigger stage.
