Listening to music can really brighten your spirits. Now try mixing it with a two-year-old curly-haired cutie, and it’s got to be the best medicine in the world.
The camera was rolling when toddler Daniel Breki sang an adorable rendition of “Thinking Out Loud” with his mom’s boyfriend. By no surprise, their duet quickly went viral spreading smiles across the internet.
If you’ve been the parent of a little kid, then you know they can fall in love with whatever music you play most. So if you don’t want them to sing along to a certain song – maybe save it for your headphones.
Daniel from Iceland had obviously been exposed to a lot of Ed Sheeran in his short life. Well, at least the popular song, “Thinking Out Loud.”
Perhaps his mom played it a thousand times in the car like the rest of us. Or, it could be because her boyfriend Heidar Ingi was an amazing musician who learned how to play it himself. Regardless, Daniel had a good idea of how the song went.
One day the pair decided to sing Sheeran’s tune as a duet. So, Daniel grabbed his toy blue guitar and Heidar picked up his acoustic version. A microphone was set out for the performance too.
Daniel’s adorably wearing a star onesie as they both start strumming their guitars. However, the boyfriend is the one to start singing first.
A few seconds in is when Daniel finally chimes in. Let’s just say, get ready for cuteness overload! He attempts to sing the line, “…darling, I will be loving you ’til we’re seventy.”
With tons of passion, Daniel belts out the lyrics the best way he can.
There’s no question that the toddler knows how “Thinking Out Loud” goes, not to mention some of the lyrics. But you know how when you don’t know the “exact” words to a song – you just kind of fake it with some gibberish? It’s kind of like that!
Get ready for your heart to melt as he takes on the line, “People fall in love in mysterious ways” and others. He even keeps his eyes closed at times like a true rockstar.
Combined with Heidar’s amazing voice, it’s quite entertaining, to say the least.
Is it really that surprising that Daniel became a master at singing “Thinking Out Loud?” After Sheeran released, it topped the charts in countries around the world. It even received a Grammy Award for Song of the Year.
After the video of their duet was uploaded to the internet, it spread like wildfire. According to Express, Daniel’s mom had originally put it online with the purpose of showing her brother in the UK, but then it took off.
Naturally, people online loved Daniel’s performance.
Someone wrote:
“He’s got cute rock star attitude. I admire the way he takes the song seriously”
But the toddler isn’t the only one getting props. Heidar’s musical talent has viewers impressed as well.
“Wow! You sound amazing at the start I thought it was Ed Sheeran on record playing. Both of you are talented xD You have impressive futures~!”
