Who doesn’t love a good Beyoncé song? Even if you don’t want to admit it, you have danced and sang along to at least one of them. These boys are a bit shy about being Beyoncé fans, and when they had the chance to get on stage and perform on “Little Big Shots,” they knew they were going to sing one of her songs.
Francis Concepcion, Mackie Empuerto, and Kiefer Sanchez are from the Philippines.
They chose to sing the song “Listen,” and they blew the audience away with their amazing performance.
The boys were nervous before the show, and even though they are young, they knew they had to nail this performance. They had performed all over the world, but this was their biggest performance.
The song they chose is a powerful one and these little singers definitely did it justice.
The host of the show, Steve Harvey, couldn’t stop smiling at them, and the audience was amazed at their incredible talents.
If you aren’t familiar with the song, the lyrics are:
“Listen to the song here in my heart
A melody I start but can’t complete
Listen to the sound from deep within
Its only beginning to find release
Oh, the time has come for my dreams to be heard
They will not be pushed aside and turned
Into your own, all ’cause you won’t listen
Listen, I am alone at a crossroads
I’m not at home in my own home
And I’ve tried and tried
To say what’s on my mind
You should have known
Now I’m done believing you
You don’t know what I’m feeling
I’m more than what
You’ve made of me
I followed the voice, you gave to me
But now I’ve gotta find my own
You should have listened
There was someone here inside
Someone I thought had died
So long ago”
“Oh, I’m screaming out
And my dreams will be heard
They will not be pushed aside or turned
Into your own
All ’cause you won’t listen
Listen, I am alone at a crossroads
I’m not at home in my own home
And I’ve tried and tried
To say what’s on my mind
You should have known
Now I’m done believing you
You don’t know what I’m feeling
I’m more than what
You’ve made of me
I followed the voice, you gave to me
But now I’ve gotta find my own
I don’t know where I belong
But I’ll be moving on
If you don’t, if you won’t
Listen to the song here in my heart
A melody I start, but I will complete
Now I am done believing you
You don’t know not what I am feeling
I’m more than what you’ve made of me
I followed the voice you think you gave to me
But now I got to find my own, my own”
The boys were so sure of their own voices that they didn’t even bother to dilute Beyoncé’s voice in the background.
They kept right up with her and never missed a beat. Dressed in white tuxedos and looking adorable, they sang their little hearts out. Even Ellen was impressed with their performance. She played the video on her show, and her audience loved it, as well.
She even spoke directly to Beyoncé about the boys.
She said:
“Beyoncé, I hope you watch Sunday’s episode of #LittleBigShots.”
A lot of kids make it to “Little Big Shots,” but that doesn’t mean it’s an easy thing to do.
Only the best is selected to perform, and even then, getting up on stage can be hard for these little kids. Their nerves can get the best of them, and sometimes, they simply don’t make it out there. Even the ones that do can forget the lyrics or dance moves.
Luckily, these cuties were completely confident, and they put on a great show for everyone.
They are going places, and this performance is just the beginning. This won’t be the last we see of this cute little trio.
