Who doesn’t love a great street performance? Today, you can travel the world and see a host of performances. Sometimes, they involve adults but more recently, we’ve seen an increase in the number of kids. Some people believe that’s because children do adorable things, passersby feel motivated to donate more money than what adults draw in.
Regardless, there are a lot of street performances that blow us away. Especially those involving small children. That’s what happened in Cuba, one cute little boy stole the show. He might be small but he has a huge personality and talent to boot.
This little tike couldn’t be more than three years old.
Standing in sand-colored bibs and with an entire band behind him, you can tell he’s excited to get started. He’s holding some kind of bamboo drums, if you will, in his hands along with a set of drum sticks. He scans the crowd and then the music begins.
None of the onlookers knew what to expect.
After all, he’s so small. I’m sure they thought he’d tap away at the drums but what he did instead, surprised everyone. From the very beginning, you can see he has perfect rhythm. He’s not just having fun but actually performing right along with the grownups.
The adults in the Cuban band start dancing around.
Standing in between two men, the little boy isn’t quite sure what to do with his feet, which makes this video even cuter. At one point, the singer to his right, who’s dancing like crazy, leans down as if to let the tike know it’s okay to let loose. Everyone in the crowd is loving it.
He decides to follow suit.
Seeing how much fun the big boys are having, this toddler begins to shake his body and stomp his feet. Although he still has a serious look on his face, you can tell he’s totally into what he’s doing. Just a little over a minute into the video, he’s having the time of his young life.
He doesn’t skip a beat.
Even with adding dance moves to the performance, this little boy keeps playing in perfect beat to the music. You even see a small smile appear on his face. Loving what’s happening, people begin to start dancing in front of the band while others whip out their cell phones to video the action.
Words can’t express just how cute he is.
Before long, the young boy’s doing every move the adult men do. As one man squats, he squats, as one shakes his hips, he does the same. It’s all too precious for words. I have a feeling this boy has a career as a professional musician in his future. For now, he’ll continue doing street performances that make people happy.
What a wonderful way to spend the day.
The band, Fusion Caribe, was terrific with the members playing a popular, fast tempo Cuban song. What started out as a leisurely day for people in Little Havana quickly turned into a fantastic opportunity to see a street performer who’s probably not more than two feet tall. This wasn’t just any performance, but one led by the most adorable child ever.
