Some performers really want to stand out. When all eyes are on you, some people feel obligated to give the crowd what they want.
And the feeling of “give the crowd what they want” seems to start at a young age. In this case, 3-years-old.
Just how many times have you heard “This Little Light of Mine”? I reckon a lot of parents out there have had their kid sing it in a school play.
It’s a sweet song and a great way to introduce kids to performing – even if some parents might be tired of the song.
This 3-year-old is performing “This Little Light Of Mine” with the rest of his class, and let’s just say all the attention’s on him.
All the kids’ voices are as you’d expect – shouting the lyrics rather than singing them. To be fair, we all did this as kids.
But there’s one voice that’s a lot louder than the others, and it’s coming from him.
We’re not told what this boy’s name is or who is family is. So unfortunately, we won’t be able to track him down and see if he ever pursued theater.
But we were left with this adorable and hilarious video of probably his first school performance. All I’ll say is that he definitely made an impression there.
If they’re gonna let their light shine, I guess his light was pretty darn bright.
His “little light” is more like a giant LED garage light, you could say.
They’ve all got cute paper headbands to server as their costumes. It definitely brings me back to my old school performances, and I’d guess you might feel the same.
To be fair to our little man with the big voice, the rest of his classmates don’t seem to be singing very loud.
Heck, I don’t think I can hear them singing much at all.
It’s pretty hard to get a 3-year-old to sing in front of people, let alone a whole class of them. I can’t blame them, nor the teacher who tried to organize this.
And with how loud he’s singing, he can make up for the rest of the class.
He’s the only one who sounds like he actually wants to let his little light shine. Come on, kids! You can’t let him do all the work!
The kids are so nervous that they spend much of their time on stage looking at each other and staring at random things.
When the chorus comes on, they’re all supposed to make gestures with their fingers as if their pointers are lights.
It went about as smoothly as you’d expect from a bunch of 3-year-olds.
And the little boy with the big voice was so enthusiastic that his headband fell off.
Hey, carrying the whole performance must have been exhausting for him.
This video was uploaded 11 whole years ago, so he’s 14-years-old now. Makes you wonder where he is, and if his friends and family still tease him over this video.
