Take it from these little ballerinas who transformed into graceful “butterflies.”
The young girls in this video embody true beauty and grace.
Despite their young age, they fearlessly and skillfully showcase their ballet dancing prowess.
These little ballerinas spread their “wings” as they join forces and perform Coppélia.
Coppélia, also known as “The Girl with the Enamel Eyes,” was first choreographed by Arthur Saint-Léon.
The ballet made its dazzling debut on May 25th, 1870, at Paris’ Théâtre Impérial l’Opéra, with the remarkable 16-year-old Italian ballerina Giuseppina Bozzacchi taking on the role of Swanhilda.
Eugénie Fiocre graced the stage as Franz.
Can these little girls nail a ballet routine that’s over 150 years older than they are?
They began their routine with their heads down on the floor, and soon, they all rose like awakened little butterflies.
Right then and there, their raw talent and grace as little ballerinas were immediately evident.
Shortly after, they stood and showcased their acquired ballet dancing skills.
The little girls executed the steps like true professionals, demonstrating remarkable discipline in their performance.
They tip-toed, gracefully spun, bent down and up, jumped, and incorporated various movements to emphasize the theme of their routine – butterflies.
The video of their Coppélia ballet performance was watched online by over 50 thousand people
It was uploaded by none other than the little ballerina’s teacher, Anastasia Fedorova.
She’s a Bolshoi Ballet Academy graduate who achieved remarkable success in her career and now works as an artistic director of the AMERICAN RUSSIAN BALLET in New Jersey, USA.
Fedorova’s achievements are quite impressive, in 2012, she earned the prestigious Gold Medal (1st place) at the International Competition “Preobrazhenie” in St. Petersburg.
For three years, Anastasia showcased her talent at the renowned “Kremlin Ballet” theater, honing her skills.
In 2014, Anastasia’s talents extended beyond the stage, as she took on the lead role of Lenka Krasnorusktsaya in the film “Bolshoi,” skillfully directed by Valeriy Tadorovkiy.
Her artistry also captured the attention of audiences in the reality TV show “Russkiy Balet.”
Her journey continues to inspire and amaze people, leaving a lasting impact on the world of ballet and entertainment.
Perfectly imperfect
These talented little ballerinas’ performance wasn’t the smoothest and was far from perfect.
However, they still managed to prove to everyone that they could pull off such a beautiful performance despite their age.
Considering the complexity of ballet dancing, the dedication and hard work of these young girls became the keys to the success of their performance.
With Fedorova’s help, they will surely become masters of their craft, and who knows, we might see these little girls performing on a huge stage as full-fledged ballerinas.
