It’s incredibly easy to forget that police officers are humans. They are often out in the line of duty, serving our communities and risking their lives. At the end of the day, they are humans who want safety and peace like all of us. Sometimes, they just want to sing “Easy Like Sunday Morning” in their car while nobody is watching.

Phil Paz is a police officer for the city of Oklahoma City. On this particular day, Phil had an itch to sing something, but what? He settled on a classic by Lionel Richie, “Easy Like Sunday Morning.”
Those are some big shoes to fill! Msgt Phil Paz, from the Oklahoma City police force, rose to the challenge and blew viewers away!
Echoing the classic words, the officer sings in his car with a voice that doesn’t dissapoint.
He begins with the iconic, “yyyeaaaa bbabbyyy.” After that, he’s off to the races and hitting all kinds of notes, low and high. He’s a little bit subtle at first, but once he gets into the groove, the soul comes pouring out.
With some awesome shades on, he doesn’t miss a single note as he gives a performance Richie would be proud of himself!
With a smile on his face, the cop perfectly mimics the song, you won’t believe your ears! It’s like nobody else in the world exists.
Officer Phil Paz is quite an amazing singer. The internet couldn’t quite believe what they were hearing! Looking quite the opposite of the suave singer, Officer Paz still gives a performance worth a listen. He beautifully hits all the notes and octaves that would bring a tear to your eye!

Nowadays, showing your talents has become a lot easier with social media. Singing cops before social media were shared with only those around them, so it’s awesome that we get to see this.
The YouTube comments were afire with people voicing their support of the officer. After listening, it’s easy to see why! He may have gone into the wrong profession!

Even better than the music is the effect it had. Seeing that police are human and that they can connect in normal ways is a good reminder that none of us are all that different from each other. If one thing will bring us together, it might very well be music, right?
