The MIHS Cheer Squad totally rocked the Senior Assembly with an incredibly unique and illuminating routine.
So, much so that a video of their performance ended up going viral.

The video starts off with the cheer squad walking into the auditorium.
Suddenly the lights dim and then go out.
The darkness reveals that each squad member is outlined in a glow-in-the-dark material making them look like stick figures.
The crowd starts cheering wildly as the squad members walk out into the middle of the auditorium floor in the dark.
They form a single file line as the music starts to play.
A light flashes causing you to catch a glimpse of the audience before everything goes black again.
The dancers start moving in a synchronized manner.
Their illuminated suits make every move even more pronounced and impressive.
They fan their arms out looking like one big giant spider.
But the real magic happens with they start performing their formations.
The glow-in-the-dark outfits make every formation look incredibly spectacular causing the audience to roar with cheers.
The dancers then spread out across the gym floor creating an awesome spectacle of light and movement.
The dancers are scattered about doing their own individual dance moves before aligning into formation again.
From here individual dancers step out of line to bust out their own dance moves. Then the coolest thing happens!
The dancers all lay down on the floor until they form letters and numbers and scream them out: “M.I.H.S.”
The crowd totally loses their minds.
Then the lights go back on and the dancers, all dressed in black, form a heart shape in the middle of the auditorium as three cheerleaders dressed in white step into its center.
Then we hear some old school cheering before the whole squad walks off the court to grab their pom-poms.
You think that their routine is over but NOPE!
More old-school cheering. This time they’re using the silver pom-poms to spell letters “G-O-O-D-B-Y-E” before shouting “I Love You” and forming a pom-pom heart.
The crowd, again, goes wild.
And so did the internet.
“This is so beautiful! I really feel like this school is united, all of the grades seem to like each other. I’m going to talk my dance team into doing something like this next year!” wrote one commenter on YouTube
“Awesome!!!! You girls did an amazing job! What a unique ‘last cheer’ send-off for your Seniors!!!! So creative and entertaining. People just don’t give cheerleaders the credit they deserve! (Of course, this is coming from a former cheerleader and current cheer mom/ass’t coach.),” said another.
“This cheer squad is LIT AF!! I am here from watching another one of these pep relays. They are amazing!!” and another.
