Not only is her singing out of this world, that dress she is wearing is gorgeous.

Carrie Underwood was only 21 when we first saw her on the 2004 season of American Idol. Simon Cowell himself made a prediction that season that she’d win and smash records. And she did.

She got a recording contract worth at least a million dollars, the use of a private jet for a whole year, and a Ford Mustang convertible.

Underwood is now 38 and if anything, sounds so much better. The maturity that came with the years coupled with her writing and presence has reinforced the fact that she is one of the best female singers in the world.

She really likes Christmas too!

In September of 2020, Underwood released “My Gift“, a full length Christmas album, something she’s always wanted to do. And it really is a fantastic album showcasing her full talents.

Here she is again, this time in the year 2021, dropping viewers’ jaws with her commanding vocals, an ability that experts and writers have called “freakish” and “enormous”. Oh and she’s nearing 40 now.

Performing “Let There Be Peace” and “Something In The Water”, Carrie is a true force of notes, octaves, and power on stage.

She had this to say during a press event about “Let There Be Peace”,

“‘Let There Be Peace’ was just kind of a fan jam, so joyous. And made you just wanna dance a little bit and sway to it. So we just wanted to see if we could contribute to what we had already going, without any pressure.”

It’s done in a very uplifting gospel-pop arrangement, and Carrie sings blessings and hope for peace.

Underwood’s voice alone could probably bring peace to all nations if she’d sing for all their leaders. It’s a fantastic tune, one you’d jam to in the car and even sing to. If you can hit Carrie’s crazy high notes that is.

Christians all over the world love Underwood for her witness to the faith and how she includes Jesus in her songs.

“Something In The Water” wad released in 2014 but it still sounds so fresh and raw especially when live. And if you follow the lyrics, you’ll see that it talks about baptism.

I followed that preacher man down to the river
And now I’m changed
And now I’m stronger
There must’ve been something in the water

Notice how Underwood has a habit of pointing up during her performances or how she closes her eyes at certain parts.

It’s hard not to be moved by her singing. Either her unbelievable vocals or her worship-style singing will get to you sooner or later. Where most artists tend to sound a little off on stage, Carrie sounds exactly the way she does in her recordings.

She’s a woman of insane talent, and she uses her gift to inspire others.

There is this sense of reaching out with her songs. Carrie sings about her life, her faith, and many other moments but her style is very personal in a sense. Must have been the water.
