The song “Jailhouse Rock” was written by two talented people, Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller.

Jailhouse Rock was sung by the King of Rock and Roll himself. Elvis also starred in the film of the same name. The song made it to the top charts in the U.S and several other countries.

For example, Shifty Henry was not actually a criminal but a well-known musician in LA. Then Sad Sack was a nickname that was used in the U.S Army in WWII for a person who is considered a loser. It’s also the title of a very popular comic book and strip character.

Lastly, The Purple Gang was in fact, a real mob.

LeAnn Rimes hosted an event called Country Showdown, where she also performed the legendary rock and roll song, Jailhouse Rock.

Country Showdown is a talent competition much like the Nashville Star, and to kick off the show, the talented lady sang Jailhouse Rock. While singing, you would even see the original music video of Elvis singing the song in 1957.

People were amazed by how good Rimes was as she was able to keep up with the fun energy of the song. Aside from that, the great singer loved what she was doing, even dancing while she was singing.

She was able to sing the whole song perfectly and her voice? Absolutely phenomenal!
